When we arrived at the property, the driveway and walkway had not been cleared of snow that appeared to have accumulated over 3–5 days, making the driveway inaccessible for our vehicles. I contacted the host, who advised that we were next on the contractor’s list — despite the fact that I had booked the stay 20 days earlier. As a frequent renter, I expect the driveway and walkway to be cleared and salted prior to arrival. We chose to leave for a grocery run to pass the time, but when we returned an hour later, nothing had changed. After reaching out again, the host suggested we not wait for the snow removal and instead park on the road, check in, and move our vehicles later. We had to carry all our bags and groceries through hard, icy snow, which was quite challenging. Snow removal was eventually completed a few hours later.Once inside, the home was cute, nicely decorated, and advertised as suitable for up to six guests — perfect for me and my sisters. However, the kitchen wasn’t adequately stocked for six people. There were only 4 bowls, 5 plates, 2 salad plates, 4 spoons, 5 forks, and 3 coffee mugs. Since we stayed in all weekend and cooked our meals, this made meal preparation and dining inconvenient.Overall, we enjoyed our time at the property, but ensuring snow is cleared before guests arrive and improving the quantity of essential kitchen items would significantly enhance future guests’ experience.
