Not a good place and plus you have to take your trash 15 minutes away from the property

Yosemite west is greatthe house had miceno extra towelsthe baking sheets were terrible and so was some of the other kitchen pots and pans.the dishwasher needs securing, it was tipping over.2 burners on the stove did not work.4 bedrooms only 1 shower, its hard for adults to shower in a bathtub, so we lined up to shower.honestly i hate to complain, i have a vrbo myself, and i look at details.the house overall was good, they just need to fix some things.

Giving it 4 stars for the great location. The first two days were so foggy the visibility was less than 20 feet, which is really scary driving in the mountains. The rest of our stay was stunning! As for the cabin, it had the necessities. It could use some modernizing and newer furniture, but was fine. It was safe and gave our family a place to spend time together. Exactly as we expected.

We enjoyed our stay with Acorn Properties. The Cabin was great. The communication with both Jennifer & Carl was easy & convenient. We would stay here again!

Great location, great property charm, super potential but poor maintenance and weak cleaning. Sinks in bathrooms did not have working drain stoppers. The only shower door does not close tight. Some windows don’t work, others have torn screens. Lighting is dark. And we had one bat join us for a night.

Old, fixures are falling off the wall, thermostat is hard to find and hard to operate. Mattresses are old and back breaking and you fall inside them. Nothing in the kitchen to help you cook a meal. No firewood ready to light a fire and enjoy the cabin. These are all small things that the host can fix to make the experience 100 times better

I just returned from a fantastic snowboarding trip and stayed at this cabin. It is a genuine, cozy log cabin with plenty of space for a group.Location: You cannot beat the location for winter sports! It is only about 7 miles from Badger Pass Ski Resort and about 15 miles to the Yosemite Valley floor, making it a perfect basecamp.Tips for Guests: If you plan on cooking, come prepared! The nearest real grocery store is about 25 miles away, and the stores down in the Valley have very limited inventory. Also, the kitchen has very limited pots and pans, so bring your own cooking pans if you plan on making big meals.Finally, there is no washer and dryer, so be sure to bring enough clothes for your stay.Overall, my stay was very pleasant, and I will definitely be back next winter!

We had a fantastic stay at the Log Cabin. I would like to present a thoughtful and thorough review.The Good: Absolutely fantastic location. Approx 30 minutes to the Valley and Wawona.Super cozy all around. It has a very homey feeling.The response time from our host, Jennifer, was very quick to any inquiries I had.The kitchen is well equipped for casual cooking.Great water pressure in the shower.TV was easy to navigate.The Bad:We arrived late evening (7/8ish) to a very steep icy driveway. We parked at the bottom and walked our gear up the stairs. The hand rail on the banister was broken (almost taking my husband down when he grabbed it for supprt on the icy steps) and there are no lights (once inside there are no switches to light said path). We understand the safety concerns for ourselves when at elevation but felt as though a heads up would have been nice. Our packed headlamps were used and we were a-ok.Pack your own bath towels. The provided towels were smelly (just "old- towel" slightly mildewy smelly) and there is no washer/dryer.If you plan on cooking please note that the fan over the stove blows directly into the kitchen (looked and it is not plumbed). We are big "cookers" so we found a box fan to put in the window.There is no broom or vacuum so clean up is difficult if necessary. **Most stressful is that an associate will park out front and watch you pack.Ultimately we recommend this lovely property. :)

The cabins was clean inside. The outside deck needs sweeping and wiped down from spider webs and pollen from spring. The 80's deco was interesting. It was one of the hottest 2 days in yosemite. There was not AC, except a box unit in one bedroom. Hot bedrooms made for hot nights sleep. This cabin sleeps 8. There was only 7 dinner dishes to eat from. They need to add another. They need a few updates but good place to stay. Area was very nice.

Pretty run down, AC only in one bedroom, Windows hard to open and some did not open. Fridge and stove not working properly. Sorry to have stayed at this place.

The rental is an attractive building and the location is central to enjoying Wawona, Glacier Point, and the Valley. While the hosts were responsive. we had a serious problem from the start. We were given a "secret" code to the entry and upon arrival found "a customary" key lockbox on the jamb by the entry door. BUT the code didn't work, and the phone service was poor, including that the numbers for emergency contact didn't work either. Fortunately the WiFi router reached outside to the front deck and we could connect that way. We used that to reach the host who was quick to respond. Turns out the code was for a featureless black electronic entry box on the door handle. Once the host informed us of that, it only took a few more tries to gain entry. Most confusing and frustrating, as was the condescending manner in which we were told "It's all on the web site". This place is remote enough so to cover for what is NOT provided, future guests are reminded to bring all their food needs, Kleenex, paper towels, napkins, condiments, extension cords or multi plugs since there are few electrical outlets, and charcoal for the grill.
