Pet friendly and the unit being first floor and single level worked out great for our older dog.Clean and well equipped. Gorgeous views of the harbor to watch the cruise ships come and go.Wonderful host. We enjoyed our stay and we are looking forward to our next visit.

Highly Recommend

Joan is a wonderful host. Her 5-star attention to detail made our stay very comfortable- especially cozy for rainy days...very clean and well-stocked with everything we could have wanted. Great location for a short walk to town or exploring the area. We look forward to returning!

Great stay in Eastport

Beautiful view from breakfast window. Very clean. Enjoyed coffee on outside deck. Nice having washer/dryer available. Joan was an amazing owner!

Perfect for Two and View

My partner and I have been staying here for the past two years and it never fails to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. The view is priceless and it fits two people perfectly and our little fur daughter.

Perfect stay!

This was our 4th year of staying at Joan's and it was as delightful as always! The place is immaculate and everything we needed was available. Joan is always just a text or email away with any answers to questions you may have. The lovely little town is just a short walk away with great eateries and cute shops. And the view from the kitchen window! Just beautiful!

Amazing place

Lovely apartment! Fully updated. Washer/dryer included. Tasteful decor. Oatmeal, Kind Bars, teas, coffee available. View over Harbor from kitchen. Highly recommend.

Wonderful!

Joan has created a lovely home away from home with this seaside cottage/apartment. There were so many thoughtful extras that really made us feel welcome …coffee, homemade jams, fresh flowers, and more. The space is airy and full of natural light, and attractively decorated, and it has a fabulous porch looking out over the bay-perfect for morning coffee or hot chocolate around the firepit in the evening.We will be back!

Wonderful stay

We booked this property because of the USS Augusta’s commissioning. The proximity to the ship and more importantly our son who is on the ship. Joan is very knowledgeable of the area, leaving brochures and restaurant listings in the apartment. We enjoyed the fire pit on the deck, the view is amazing, we couldn’t have asked for anything else. Thank you Joan for all you do!!

Wonderful...just wonderful.

One of the best VRBO properties we've ever stayed at; if not THE best. A spectacular view both inside and out (especially the sunrise!), a cozy (yet spacious) house with all the amenities you'll ever need. Plus Eastport is a quaint and very quiet little town. Thanks, Joan. We had a marvelous time! (And Zuzu, our Aussiedoodle, loved it too!)

Sweet, beautiful home

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Joan’s place for three nights and we couldn’t have been happier. Joanne’s out of her way to make you feel welcome and cared for during her stay. She truly has thought of every detail that will make her home comfortable and relaxing for your vacation. Then there is the location. The back deck has stunning views of the harbor and of Canada! It was an easy walk into town to Polk around in the shops and have a delicious meal. The photos I’ve included are from the deck!

Isolated Pandemic Vacation

Our stay in Joan’s apartment was the best. We needed a change of scenery amid this pandemic and felt very safe after Joan explained how she follows the strict guidelines as a host. The apartment was spotless and very charming. We spent lots of time on the amazing deck overlooking Passamaquoddy Bay with a stunning view of Campobello and many smaller islands. The sunrise was unsurpassed! I set my alarm to make sure we didn’t miss it! Joan was extremely helpful to recommend lots of things to do and places to hike. She encouraged us to hire a local boat captain to take us out to Treat Island and drop us off for a two hour hike and picnic. We had the island to ourselves. What better place to be during a pandemic! The weather was extraordinary! Eastport has much to offer in the most relaxing and quiet way. The Tides Institute, which is located on Water Street, is one of our favorite visits. Art, history and special exhibits. The shops and galleries are fun and varied, restaurants as well. Definitely call Betty’s Crabmeat and reserve a pound. It is the best crabmeat we have ever had. We try to make several visits a year to Eastport and will definitely book a stay at Joan’s!

This waterfront apartment is beautiful and our host, Joan, thought of everything to make our stay as relaxing and stress free as possible. The space is so clean and well stocked, we had everything we needed. It has a great location which is a short walk to the pier, shops and restaurants and the best part is the water view. Absolutely breathtaking. Our advice is to try to wake up early to watch the sunrise. You won’t regret it.

Eastport Getaway

The place was perfect for the two of us and our pup Teddy. First floor access, immaculate, view of the bay and well stocked. The owner was amazing, check in was a breeze.

Another lovely stay in Eastport

This was our 2nd stay at Joan’s and it was just as cozy and relaxing as the first. The weather was inclement for part of our stay which made staying in necessary but Joan’s is a wonderful place to hunker down in. We highly recommend Joan’s place!

Welcoming with a gorgeous view!

This place is the perfect home away from home for exploring Eastport and the surrounding area! We really appreciated all of Joan's thoughtful touches -- like a portable night light, tea and coffee in the kitchen, filtered water, etc. You can tell she really wants her guests to be comfortable! The best part for us was the view and the deck. It was so nice to begin and end the day with a view of the water. We stayed here with our young daughter and our dog, and it was a good fit for everyone. We'd certainly love to stay here again if we return to Eastport!

Perfect getaway

Our host prepared a delightful space for us and we could not have enjoyed it more. The view is to die for and we had all the things we needed in the house and then some as she had generously supplied some snacks and fresh water in the kitchen. Short walk into the center of town, lots to see and do. A real gem of a town and a delightful house to say in.

Slice of Heaven

Our accommodations at Joan’s could not have been nicer. We love that upon entering her apartment we felt like we were arriving home. The artwork adds a level of interest on its own. And then you notice the most beautiful views of Passamaquoddy Bay and Campobello from a very well equipped kitchen. We also enjoyed the neighborhood and the neighbors on our morning walks with our 4 year old Yorkie. She particularly enjoyed exploring the rocky beach below at low tide along with the caves and sea glass. The deck is extraordinary with delightful breezes and a Solo fire pit. Everything about the bedding was like a cloud and I hope Joan will tell us the make of the mattress and pillows as we’re currently mattress shopping. It was a perfect getaway!

5-star location, town and trip

We stayed 3 days and enjoyed e very moment (on the beautiful deck overseeing the water, on the rocky beaches in front at low tide, on the sea whale-watching, in town dining or shopping). Eastport is perfect for a calm and quiet vacation! Saw deers on the Post Office lawn! Joan tipped us on a couple of activities. Make sure to go to Gleason’s Cove (10 min-drive) to enjoy the beach (rocky) and the sea, and to collect shells and sea-glass.

November get-away

Joan's property was well appointed and a very homey. The whole area was very quiet this time of year as we expected. Just beware that the neighbors homes are in close proximity which might be a concern for some. Joan has all the information in plain view that one could need to stay here or explore the area. The sunrise didn't dissapoint!
