Enjoy private riverfront access at our sister property across the street. WiFi available (fastest in our area) and supports streaming TV, though service can be spotty—perfect for unplugging.

The Homestead combines Units 1, 2, and 8, creating the perfect retreat for groups who want to stay connected while still enjoying comfort and privacy. Situated just steps from one another, these neighboring cottages make it easy to gather for meals, spend time together, or simply relax in your own space when desired.

With 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, The Homestead comfortably accommodates larger groups—ideal for family vacations, weekend getaways with friends, or intimate retreats.

Along with the cottages’ private amenities, guests also enjoy access to a shared on-site pool and pickleball court, as well as private riverfront access located just across the street at our sister property.

Fernweh Hillside is a brand new upscale, relaxed, family-friendly cottage resort along River Road in New Braunfels, Texas. Located between 2nd and 3rd Crossing, this resort-like experience offers a new experience for the long-time Guadalupe tubers - come check out the best that River Road has to offer!! Come enjoy our amenities including a pool, pickleball/basketball court, covered pavilion, and a dog park!

Our sister property, which all guests have access to, has private riverfront access with partnered tube trips daily during the high season. Perfect location for fishing during the low season. Enjoy everything that River Road has to offer!

All of the units are numbered, and the driveway loops - parking is available next to or near all units. A property map is included in the listing to guide you to Units 1, 2, and 8. Unit 1 has 4 parking spaces. Unit 2 has 2 parking spaces, and Unit 8 has 1 parking space.

7 parking spaces are available for these cottages. Parking is very limited and most weekends in the summer, we are not able to accommodate additional vehicles. We do have a partnership with a neighbor to park extra vehicles for an additional fee, but availability is also limited and not guaranteed.

WiFi is provided (high speed fiber), but is not guaranteed due to our remote location - prepare for a potentially unplugged adventure.

DoorDash, UberEats, Target, H-E-B, Favor, Instacart - all deliver to the property if you need something - just be sure to provide your driver with clear directions and note that cell service is non-existent on River Road.
VISITORS & OUTSIDE GUESTS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON PROPERTY AT ANY TIME. Violation of this policy will result in a fee and potential removal from the property without refund. Fernweh is only accessible by our reservation guests.

Smoking or vaping is strictly forbidden indoors and an additional $500 cleaning fee will be assessed for any violations. Smoking is permitted outdoors and we request that you do not litter by extinguishing and disposing of any butts appropriately. Please be courteous of other property guests when in common areas.

Pets welcome in Unit 1 and Unit 2 ONLY! $50/pet fee, 2 pets max/unit, 60 lbs max. Fee collected after booking.

PET PROTOCOL
We are so excited to welcome your pets to Fernweh! We respectfully request that your furry family members refrain from being on the furniture, but we understand that sometimes that is difficult. Your unit is stocked with a pet lint roller and an extra blanket (grey) for you to lay out for your pet. The blankets are washable, but our comforters are not - we super appreciate your assistance in helping us keep the units pet friendly for our future visitors. Thank you!!
