Quaint, cozy and quiet. We had tickets to the Chrysler Center for an event and it was minutes from the room. The dogs LOVED the double back yards. Kyle the host was very accomodating and welcoming. Thank you!

Just book this property! Great location, great room and great host! My husband and I were in town for a military event in Norfolk. We decided to stay here in lieu of Norfolk because the traffic wouldn't be as bad, it was more cost effective and it was pet friendly! This suite was perfect for us...it checked all the right boxes! First, the check-in process couldn't have been easier, especially considering we arrived late at night. Second, the room was extremely clean and quite homey. While there wasn't a TV, there was a really cool projector with total streaming capabilities...perfect for evenings in. It was actually a nice reprive from a TV screen. Thirdly, any questions I had during our stay were promptly answered by the host. Finally, if you're traveling with your furry bestie, this is the ultimate neighborhood....perfect for dog walking! Oh, and the pool is a draw, too!

Host is communicative and relaxed (not trying to micromanage your stay). I forgot to check the pics and descriptions for a microwave but there isn’t one. Alternatively, there is a hot plate and a pot. I gave 4 out of 5 stars due to the coffeemaker not working and having one washcloth for two people but it was pleasant other than that.

Added a microwave, replaced the coffee maker (sorry again it wasn’t working) and will be sure more washcloths are made available. Thanks for the feedback and please come back to enjoy the improvements.

The AC didn’t work so it was hot. The sink, mirrors and shower was dirty. There was small dark Curley hair in shower, not mine!!! Gross!! The cold water didn’t work in shower so it was too hot and very uncomfortable. The owner was out of country and didn’t offer solutions. He said we should be comfortable because other guest were fine with no AC. Overall it needs a good cleaning and some effort to make it nice. Very sparse in the kitchen. We left a day early.

To address the AC comment, the unit is an in-law suite with heat and AC provided from the main house. She’s referring to a supplemental split unit which has not worked since I purchased the house a year ago. It will be replaced soon, though it has not been necessary thus far. Regardless of the review left, I did offer a solution. In fact, at 2am my time while overseas, I had my neighbor go buy a window AC and install it so she had an independent AC in the unit before nightfall. I merely said I had never received a complaint or so much as a comment on the AC or temperature from previous guests. A note on the mirror, it’s a vintage floor to ceiling with oxidation from age, it is not dirty. As far as the dirty sink and shower, if it was in-fact an issue, it will be addressed with my cleaner. As you’ll read from my other reviews, the condition is much better than described and I’ve always gone out of my way to ensure guests have everything they need. This guest was incredibly rude and verbally abusive while trying everything to receive a full refund for her stay from the moment she got there. I have to assume this harsh review is a response to not getting a free stay.

Apt. Wasn't ready for 2:00 p.m. check in and I arrived at 2:45. Upon accessing I found there was no hairdryer and only less than 1/2 a roll of toilet paper. Owner responded quickly. I tried to watch TV using the projector and it was awful. I had to watch anything I wanted to see on my little phone. There was no information about anything in the unit other than wifi password and the little coffee machine made literally the worst cup of coffee I have ever had. It was a convenient location for what I needed to do but that's about it. With a couple of easy and inexpensive fixes it would be much nicer.

I apologize again about the delay in the cleaning from the previous guest who left later than normal on a day my cleaner’s schedule conflicted, I admit I overlooked the toilet paper stock in my own hurry to get the place ready for you. As for the hair dryer, I’m assuming a previous guest may have taken it inadvertently and I have since replaced it. I had both the hair dryer and toilet paper in your hands within minutes of being made aware. As for the projector, it is actually a rather nice system which also allows you to share content from your phone. I would have been happy to help you understand the newer technology had I known you were having issues. I believe the original instruction book is on the rack next to it but I will work to add simplified directions for future guests. The coffee is a Kcup machine for convenience and ease of use. Maybe the flavor was the issue, there were others to choose from in the cabinet above and I will also add some more variety moving forward. Appreciate the thorough feedback which will help me continue to refine my hosting skills.
