Tuscon

We spent a week during spring in Tuscon to hike, eat, and generally wander. Wanda's VRBO was spacious, comfortable, and quiet. It had a full-sized refrigerator, along with microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, and all the cutlery, mugs, plates, and bowls we needed. The bathroom has one sink, and a tub/shower combo, all clean and very functional. We had access to park our rental car in the garage, greatly appreciated. Wanda was in communication quickly and had very detailed directions to access the unit. Heads-up, our iPhone GPS did want us to turn into the neighbor's driveway, but Wanda's place is clearly marked at the road with markers and address, so verify you have the right driveway. Overall, a nice place and great value.

Wonderful stay in Tucson

We sooo enjoyed our stay at this property. It was just what we wanted to have - desert location, away from the busy city with privacy. Our host was exceptionally responsive and accommodating. The property was exactly what we expected and as described. Easy location to get to restaurants and all attractions we wanted to visit. Would definitely stay here again!

Cycling in AZ

Cute apartment, with plenty of room to spread out. We were able to use the garage area to assemble our bikes. Enjoyed the garden sitting area outside. Host was very accommodating. Enjoyed our stay very much

Desert stay just outside Tucson

We really enjoyed our stay. A nice private studio surrounded by beautiful desert landscaping. The Saguaro garden outside the front door is spectacular. The unit was comfortable and felt like home to us for the 8 days we stayed

Getaway in the desert

We found the property to be in a great area of Tucson away from the congestion of the city but close to restaurants and stores. It is also just a few minutes from the major natural attractions in the eastern, quite part of the city including Sabina Canyon, the My. Lemon highway , and the eastern section of the National park. The rental was immaculately clean and well ordered and the owner responsive and helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Casita to any party wishing to visit Tucson and wanting to avoid the hotel experience particularly if you want to experience the desert parks on the east side of the city.

Clean & Comfortable Close to Cycling Routes

We enjoyed our stay! We are retired and wanted to check out the cycling in Tucson. The condo is on the route to Mount Lemon and close to the 100-mile bike path. There are lots of good restaurants and other things to do. We will go back again and stay longer.

Enjoyed staying at this spacious, private and well stocked studio. Conveiently located in NE Tuscon with most major parks, monuments and other sites within 15 to 45 minute drive. Recommend as an affordable option to see the sights in southern Arizona and enjoy the weather.

Very nice stay

Very private, cozy and convenient to outdoor activities such as Sabino Canyon, Saguaro NP and Mt Lemmon. Very close to stores and restaurants. We hope to stay here again in the future. Only downside is it can be hard to find the property, especially at night.

Perfect Location

This was our first time visiting Tucson. We did a lot of sightseeing and the location was perfect. The house had everything we needed and inside parking was an added bonus!

Desert Hideaway

The property was tucked away from the road and was surrounded by mature cacti and desert shrubs. Everything was well-maintained and tidy, with a pleasing appearance. inside, we had all that we needed to make our stay comfortable. The furniture was comfortable, the garage spacious and quiet (door.) Instructions were very clear. We had a great stay. Thank you.

Peaceful retreat!

Private and very quiet with lovely plantings. Covered garage was a plus and much appreciated. The furnishings are comfortable and studio is nicely decorated.

Place for Dad at Holidays

Reserved for my father because there was no more room at our inn (aka house). Clean, very quiet, convenient to restaurants shops etc, comfortable. Easy access to NE side of town, where there are basically no hotels and just a few bed and breakfasts. Worked out great!

Nice Studio in Catalina Foothills

Tucson Getaway

Dear Travelers, We're from New Jersey, and enjoyed all things good about being located in between Manhattan, Philadelphia and the Jersey shore. I am a graduate of The Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts. The arts, writing and music have been my life's passions. Many career path changes and finally a decision to head west has led me to Tucson, where my family and I are loving desert life.

We chose this property because it is very private, surrounded by the natural, verdant desert and mountains on the east side of town.

We see and hear a lot of wildlife. Coyotes, roadrunners, quail, javelina, bob cats, deer, rabbits, and an amazing variety of birds thrive in the Sonoran desert.

We are on the road to Catalina Mountain! If you are a cyclist, love to hike, ski or just want to have lunch after taking in some of the most breathtaking vistas in the US, Summerhaven on Catalina Mountain is for you. It is 7,700 feet above sea level, and 20-30 degrees cooler than the desert.

Our pueblo-style house is very private. There are acres between neighbors here. The studio is comfortable and welcoming. There is plenty of space in the garage for our guests' car, and more available outside. Stunning mountain and cactus garden views can be seen from every window. Nights are darker here and the shooting stars are amazing! It only takes about 20 minutes to get to the center of town, for all that the Old Pueblo can offer including a notable culinary scene, fine local breweries, museums, galleries, shops, music and theater. There are really good restaurants nearby, too.
