The Treehouse er en 2 soveværelse, 1 badeværelse hytte beliggende i træerne i Syd Toe River Valley for Burnsville, NC kun få minutter fra ferskvandsfiskeri, Blue Ridge Parkway, og Mount Mitchell Golf Course. Nyd nogle af de bedste vandreture, golf og natur i det vestlige North Carolina. Selvfølgelig er der også en masse, der taler for veranda sidde og slappe af natten ved en knitrende ild. Heldigvis har vi det også!

Bor på Treehouse har alle de bedste aspekter ved at bo i en hyggelig hytte i skoven, med alle de bekvemmeligheder du har brug for at opretholde de væsen bekvemmeligheder i hjemmet. Når du træder ud på den overdimensionerede dæk du er omgivet af det naturlige landskab af smukke vestlige North Carolina, med ingen større veje, støjende naboer eller obstruktive synspunkter, øjeblikkeligt at trække dig ind i de seværdigheder, lyde og lugte (ahhh lugt) af det dal. Hæld dig selv en øl eller et glas vin og få fat i en Adirondack; du stirre på Mt. Mitchell, den højeste top øst for Misssissippi floden. Grill ud og spise på dækket, når den er afkølet, hyggeligt op foran stenen pejs, og når du er blomme tuckered fra for meget sjov og afslapning, putte ind i nogle af de comfiest strøelse, du nogensinde har sovet i ; der er ingen nattesøvn som en nat sov i bjergene. På en morgen eller aften gå det er ikke ualmindeligt at se rådyr i engen lige over ejendommen, og selvfølgelig er vi kun et hop fra golfbanen, en springe fra den smukke South Toe River (komplet med mange vandfald), og et spring fra den fantastiske Blue Ridge Parkway!

Asheville er kun en time væk med nogle af de mest fantastiske restauranter, bryggerier og levende musik samt Biltmore Hus og Grove Park Inn.

A little piece of heaven on earth

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Treehouse! I've lost count on the number of times we have stayed there but it's definitely our favorite! The view is literally breathtaking. You can sit on the deck for hours taking it all in. We look forward to next time!

Perfect Mountain Getaway

This place was fabulous! Cleanest rental I have ever stayed in, the friendliest and most responsive host I’ve ever rented from, beautiful location, and the house has everything you need for a mountain getaway!

Stunning Mountain Views

This is the second year we are staying in the Mt Michell. Absolute stunning place. The house is very private and tucked away under the trees. No stairs needed to access the house. Internet fast and stable. The huge glass doors offer stunning mountain views of the mountains. The house is very well laid out and lives comfortable. If you want privacy and seclusion this is the place for you. Will surely come back.

Heavenly Honeymoon

My husband and I had the most wonderful honeymoon stay at the "Tree House" cabin. The views of Mt. Mitchell from the mountain-facing windows and balcony were absolutely breathtaking. The owner was incredibly helpful and responsive, making our experience even more enjoyable. The Tree House provides a cozy cabin experience with all the comforts of home. The oversized deck immerses you in the natural beauty of Western North Carolina, offering tranquility without the noise of major roads or neighbors. You can't beat the view of Mt. Mitchell, the tallest peak East of the Mississippi River. Don't forget to bring some firewood, you won't regret it. The cabin's bedding is incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep in the mountains. On your morning walks, we saw several deer in the meadow above the property. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect honeymoon getaway.

Fabulous property and hosts, but annoying garbage situation (with after-booking notice)

The superb: Feasting your eyes on the view of Mt. Mitchell, your jaw just kind of drops. Wonderful spacious deck with Adirondack chairs and a large family-sized picnic table. Also, I have now fulfilled my peculiar ambition of having lived (if only for a handful of days) in a round house :-D "Treehouse" is the perfect name. A Hooded Warbler came and landed on a branch that is level with the deck railing. The beds are all comfy (two out of three from actually sleeping, one from lying down on the quilt while making the Goldilocks evaluation on which bed to sleep in). I chose the loft; my sister chose the "master" bedroom. Note for non-short people: I'm 5'10" and would easily have hit my head on a cross beam when coming up or going down the stairs from the loft. My choice, but I'm just saying, be aware, if your party consists of three couples with at least one person as tall as me. Really cool to have a whole floor to myself. Kitchen is well-stocked, with a kettle for tea or coffeemaker if that's your preferred drink. Host was wonderfully and timely communicative. He was also very warm and welcoming and accommodating of questions. The so-so: 10am is a bit early for checkout. I was a bit confused by the welcome guide I received on what was provided and what was not concerning "consumables". I thought I might need to bring my own dish detergent but turned out a courtesy bottle was awaiting us and we didn't even use half of it up. Also, I'm not sure where this would go and perhaps it's a flaw in VRBO's listing format, but I would have preferred knowing very well up-front about having to cart out our own garbage (I still did because I read all the reviews, but ideally I wouldn't have to go to that length). If you didn't read all the reviews, you won't know this until the booking is complete and you're set to sign the rental agreement. This still will be likely weeks before you get there, but again, would be best to know up front. As the host will tell you, there are bears, and I wasn't exactly thrilled to have the garbage in my car on a Sunday (the convenience center was closed) and just have to "cross my fingers" while my sister and I went on our final hike of the vacation. It would be reasonable to ask the visitors to round up garbage from all the little cans into one big bag and secure it in the can on the deck when leaving, and then it seems the cleaning staff would be able to take it when they come to clean. Not sure why it's like it is.

I’ve stayed at this property multiple times and this was my first solo trip. I felt entirely comfortable as a woman traveling alone in this area. The treehouse has consistently been a wonderful place to stay - you can tell it is cared for as somebody’s home yet you do not feel like you are intruding into somebody else in the space. I booked a return visit before I even left!

My wife and I love this property and would HIGHLY recommend for a quiet and relaxing getaway. The cabin is always clean and the views of Mt. Mitchell are always spectacular, changing slightly as the sun and clouds move throughout the day. The wraparound deck, fireplace and fire pit are favorite features. Burnsville and Little Switzerland are both short drive destination points that offer some great food and drinks if there is a need to venture out.We have stayed several times and have never had a bad experience or a surprise. Communication with the owner is excellent. We have already booked two more trips for next year. This is also a great value given its location.

Gorgeous Relaxing Mountain Retreat

We grilled, hiked, played games, did puzzles, read, and just enjoyed coffee and drinks on the porch overlooking the mountain view. It was absolutely perfect.

Another amazing stay

Our third trip to "Treehouse" and is consistently a great experience. The property is everything as described and we have already reserved two future visits this year based upon the limited availability over the next months. James is an extraordinary host who takes pride in sharing his home with others. We highly recommend this property for a relaxed getaway. It is tranquil with an incredible view of Mount Mitchell staring at you from the wrap around deck and dining table. This view and the massive wood burning fireplace makes the property one of the best values in North Carolina. Come and see.

Beautiful!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the beautiful location! We celebrated his 66th birthday. We visited the Biltmore and drove that winding, curved, fun, exciting 80 highway . The south highway also known as the Devil’s Whip.

NC Treehouse Stay

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin in the western NC mountains. The views of Mt. Mitchell from the deck and from the large picture windows were outstanding. The frequent visitors to the hummingbird feeder were an unexpected bonus.

Nice Cabin in the Mountains

This was a lovely cabin in the Blue Ridge mountains. Incredible view of the mountains from cabin. Very close to an outstanding golf course. The thing that could use updating is the king size mattress.

Treehouse Rest and Relaxation!!!

We had a lot of rain and wind gusts but that didn't bother us at all! We spent 1 day in our PJs playing games ...we cooked out and sat on the deck listening to music and taking in all the beautiful scenery around us! Definitely God's Country! We can't wait to return!

Beautiful View and peaceful cabin

Everything as advertised. Natural lighting woke us up every morning and you could hear the nearby river. Great location close to nature and amazing small town shopping. Even though the weather was colder than we planned it gave us more time in cabin. James is an excellent host that is very responsive and full of info. Amazing stay.

Nice Home and Location

This property is well kept and nicely furnished. The location is private and picturesque! There is a gas furnace and fireplace that kept us quite comfortable. We would highly recommend this rental.

Nice cabin, great location

Cabin was in a great location, with just a short drive to plenty of hiking trails in the Mount Mitchell area. There were great views of the mountains from inside, as well as from the very spacious deck. The cabin was clean and had everything you'd need for a pleasant getaway. James was spot on with communication and is a very responsive host. We will definitely book again and look forward to our next stay.

Welcome to our Treehouse! We are James & Cameron McKeever. We live full time in Ozona, Florida, a small coastal city on the West coast of Florida near the Clearwater Beach area. Throughout our travels of the US, we have discovered and hold true to the belief that these are the best two places a person can possibly find! We try to spend as much time at the Treehouse as we can, and it is truly our second home, not just a rental. We only hope you enjoy staying in our home as much as we do!

We found the Treehouse while visiting the area with friends who also had property in the South Toe River Valley. Out of the five or six properties we looked at, this was the first and only I (Cameron) needed to see. When we walked in, it felt exactly like my Grandfather’s cabin we used to stay in growing up as a kid. We had the greatest memories of that little cabin in the woods, and couldn’t wait to make our own. With James surrendering to the fact that there’s simply no competition for fond childhood memories, we bought it in 2005, and over the past several years not only have we put our blood, sweat, tears and hearts into it (we just call it ‘good mojo’), but we have fallen head over heels in love with the South Toe Valley for it's nature, rivers and art, Asheville for it's music and vibe and wonderful Burnsville for it's dining, brewery, culture, events and community!
Leaving is always a heartbreak!

The house is away from roads and very private, with a large open deck nestled in the trees, and view of Mount Mitchell. Inside amenities include modern appliances and a fully stocked kitchen, HVAC, comfortable bedding, a newly updated bathroom & stacked stone fireplace.
Open living room has a wall of windows and brings the outside in, and the dining table has a view. There is a small tv but you won't need it :)
Feels like a cozy cabin in the woods (I mean...it is) but with all the modern conveniences!
