Rooms were very clean. Laura was very helpful and super quick at responding to any questions we had. The kids enjoyed the backyard play ground. The mini kitchen was helpful for breakfasts in the mornings before we went out for the day. Nice and quiet neighborhood.

If you have no mobility issues (there are 13 steps down to the garden apartment) this place is great. It was just me, my husband, and our dog. Very spacious area, clean, well kept. Our host (Laura) responded quickly to questions/requests we had. This place is very conveniently located to shopping and area restaurants. Well laid out neighborhood for walking our dog. We especially enjoyed the electric fireplace for its warmth!

Great Space Super Clean

We stayed at this location because it was close to our grandkids. This property was perfect to host overnight sleepovers and a great place for us to rest at night.

Great place!

We enjoyed staying at this place during the AF Academy Parent's Weekend. The drive out to the area is beautiful and easy, and we loved this VRBO! It is roomy, super clean, has comfy beds, and was very relaxing! Laura's communication was excellent! Overall, a positive experience, and we would stay here again!

Cleanest property we've stayed in!

Laura is a great hostess! All the basic needs were provided upon arrival. This is the cleanest property we have ever stayed in! I really appreciated that. She was very quick to answer if I texted her with a question or need. It was a quiet neighborhood in a good location, close to stores and restaurants but out of the busy town. We would totally stay here again. Even the kids said so!

Comfortable stay in a great location

5 stars all the way! During our stay we had everything we needed and more. Beds were comfy and the swing set and trampoline were fun for the kids in the evening. Everything was really clean and Laura checked in on us several times. Great place to stay with a family and we loved the activities around Colorado Springs.

Clean and cute

A clean and cute place. We had all we needed for our short stay. Was nice to use the playground in the backyard as we had a 2 year old with us. Instructions for check in and check out are very clear.

Clean and convenient

Space worked well for our family. Unit was clean. It does not have a full kitchen but host provided plug in cooktop and other appliances that could be used for cooking. Host communicated well. Being the basement it was a tad cold at times.

Colorado Getaway

We really enjoyed our time together in Laura's adorable basement apartment. Laura was an amazing and responsive host for the duration of our Christmas stay. The layout of the house was perfect for our party of 6 plus dogs - very comfortable. The kids also enjoyed the use of her spacious yard! Can’t wait to return the this incredible retreat. Thank you!

Great place!

Lura was fabulous to work with. Always timely responses to anything I asked her. This property is great and affordable. Another plus was the play structures in the back yard. Baby was a bit too young for them but if we get to come back next year, they’ll be perfect! You literally have everything you need except an oven. But who goes on vacation to cook?!? Not us!! We will definitely be staying here again!

falcon hills

The location was perfect, the beds comfy and loved the theme and all the handmade quilts. Kids had a great time with the games. It has lots of stairs, which is not a problem unless you are on crutches. I would stay again, I will be off crutches. Some garden level basements have ground level entrance, and I assumed that, so it was tough to navigate for me. The china was beautiful and the same set that my Mom has so that was fun.

The listing did not indicate someone would be upstairs in the house. It indicated it was the entire house, which it is not. It is the basement, and not a walk out basement. It had plenty of space and amenities and was clean, just not what we expected and the person above was up each night until 2-3AM each night walking around.

Great place, nice and clean. Everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom. Great neighborhood and food/shopping nearby. Convenient to seeing Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. The listing does say this is a basement place which is usually not a problem. However, the stairs were difficult to navigate due to the garage door and door to the stairs both opening into the small laundry space. It felt very precarious carrying luggage in and was challenging for my children and elderly parents. In addition, the king size bed is very, very high. My mother had to stand on a chair to get into the bed. My father who is over 6 feet struggled to get in the bed without a stool. My husband and I would stay here again alone, but not with my parents, children, or dog.

Great place to stay

This house is wonderful. We chose this house for the backyard and are so glad we did. It have the kids something to do when we weren't on the go. They never watched TV once. I will say however a note to the owners just to give a little advice from Avid travelers. A TV in the master bedroom or family room (or both) would be nice. We like to wind down after a day with 5 kids and check up on the latest news etc. We brought our blue tooth speaker and played music from our phones while cooking and what not, but an option here or there for some background noise would be awesome. :). Also maybe a list of local restaurants in the area that you recommend added to the guide book! But that's just us. The place is great!!!
