The Return to the Marshlands (2E), located on the second floor of the east wing, is an open-plan retreat inspired by protected coastal landscapes. Designed for balance, warmth, and ease, this residence blends blue-green tones, natural textures, and generous gathering space—inviting you to slow down, settle in, and stay a while longer.

This bright, open-plan one-bedroom retreat blends soothing blue-green tones, natural textures, and a calm coastal palette inspired by protected marshlands. Designed for couples or solo travelers, the space feels both refreshing and grounding, with room to relax, work remotely, and linger.



The living area features a Smart TV with Roku and an easy, open layout, while the fully stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a spacious island is perfect for slow mornings or casual evenings. The bedroom offers a queen-size bed with hotel-quality linens, and a dedicated workspace makes remote work easy. Step outside to the patio to unwind and enjoy access to the shared ground-level spa with hot tub, sauna, fire pit, and outdoor shower.

Once the historic site of the Warren Water Company, The Return | Warren is rooted in the concept of Land Stewardship—the idea that no one owns the land because we are each part of the Earth. Throughout the property, the interior design draws inspiration from the surrounding environment as a way to restore, reflect, and imagine a more creative future.

The Neighborhood:

This home is located in a lively, vibrant part of town, so you may hear the usual sounds of city life from time to time. The building includes four separate units, which means there may also be light noise from neighboring guests. This is a historic property, and some of the stairways are naturally narrow and steep. Please use caution when navigating them. Due to the age and character of the home, the doors may stick slightly during warmer months.

Guest Verification

To help ensure a smooth and secure stay for all guests, the primary guest listed on the reservation may be asked to complete a quick verification process within 48 hours of booking, depending on the platform used to book the reservation.



Prior to check-in, guests may also be asked to sign a Rental Agreement that includes agreeing to our rental terms and conditions and, on certain booking platforms, providing a valid government-issued ID and matching credit card before arrival.



Included with your booking is our damage waiver coverage, which helps protect against accidental, self-reported damage during your stay when reported prior to check-out.

I do not recommend this place. We got almost no sleep our entire visit, there aren't real blinds on the bedroom windows - the blinds have gaps and don't block out light. The light from large liquor store sign across the street kept us up all night. The picture I included of the window was taken at 3 am, it's very bright. It's also very poorly insulated and we heard traffic all night.In addition to the noise and light, the unit wasn't well cleaned. We saw stains on one of the pillow covers, found a used lotion bottle under the furniture from a previous guest, and there was long dark hair all over the carpet that wasn't ours, some of the furniture was also damaged and in poor condition. The host forgot to send me the check in info and I had to reach out for it. There's a mandatory 60 fee in addition to the VRBO cost. You have to pay it through a separate portal and upload a pic of your gov ID, which I thought I had data security concerns about. They say it's a non refundable damage deposit - which doesn't make any sense. Why pay an additional fee for damages if you don't damage the unit?Also, the stairs up to the unit are VERY steep, and carrying a suitcase up them is a little treacherous.Anyways, if you have other hotel or vacation rental options I recommend staying elsewhere.
