There was a smell of must and damp. We got used to it. They have a lot of personal stuff on shelves and counters that made unpacking our stuff into the little kitchen a bit of a hassle. The driveway has very deep sunken pits that twisted my grandsons ankle and tripped more than one of us. The 2 paver steps into the lake gave way and my son took a bad fall into the lake, hurting himself enough to prevent him from tubing behind the boat.That being said, we were able to bring our pontoon and had fun on the lake. Everyone caught a bunch of fish, not keepers but super fun to catch. Finding the driveway was difficult during some pretty thick traffic, but the house is close to town. The lake is so close to the house its awesome. The bottom is sandy and shallow in front of the house. Perfect for kids or sitting in a lawn chair ( lucky I brought 2 last minute) you could easily play catch or Frisbee if you avoid the weedy deeper spots. The 2 bedrooms would not accomodate 3 couples, or 6 adults. The main is very large with one queen bed. The second is tiny with a full size and a twin with a trundle. He full would not fit 2 full grown adults. One of us had to sleep on the couch.All that said, I would consider staying there again, bringing an inflatable mattress.
