This rental was perfect for our little family! The location could not have been better & the house was great! We walked right out to the beach & had privacy. Would definitely recommend this spot!

The photographs put online do not come close to reality. The bathrooms need remodeling, the tub in the main room is old and painted inside to cover the imperfections, the other bathroom was decent but the doors of the cabinets need remodeling, the trash can in the bathroom is too old and dirty, the curtain of the shower very dirty.The fence of the back porch was loose, maybe they should consider replacing it or reinforcing it for protection.In general they did not meet my expectations but we tried to make our stay the best.The only good thing is the location.

Very disappointed during this stay. When we first arrived, we noticed it had a strong smell of mold and mildew. There appeared to be water damage in the living room and kitchen, leaving the floors uneven and mold in the vents. The vent in the living room was broke and sticking up out of the floor, making it very unsafe for our toddler to run around. The sliding door in the living room was hard to open and the floors and steps leading upstairs to the bedrooms were covered in sand. The master bathroom with the view had mold in the tub, jets and tub stopper. Both bathrooms are outdated and don’t look anything like the pictures online. I reached out to both host and vrbo about the mold issue and the vents nothing was done. Clearly the mold couldn’t be handled over night but the broken vents could have been replaced. I would recommend the place being renovated, especially downstairs where the water damage is. The only good thing about this stay was being right on the beach. Other than that, I don’t recommend this location, you can definitely find better for the money.

The house was right on the beach and looked exactly like the pictures. This was the perfect beach vacation. Being able to step off the deck onto the sand literally felt like never leaving the beach the entire trip. The place was relaxing and peaceful and I cannot wait to go back.

Beautiful spot right on the beach. Stunning view. The place was clean and comfortable. The host was kind and helpful. There are quite a few steps. If that is not a problem for you, I highly recommend it.

Good location

It was the perfect location, right on the beach. My only complaint would be the parking situation was very tight. The inside of the place was clean, but definitely need to clean up the outside of the property.

29th Anniversary Trip

They location is wonderful RIGHT ON the beach amazing view and NOT crowded. Outside upper deck chairs need to be replaced on broke on my husband when he sat down. The beach chairs have cracks in them but other than that it is a great place and location!!! Would stay there again.

Family Vacation

Thank you for allowing us to stay at your property. Overall my family very much enjoyed our stay. The only thing i wish i knew is the alunt of stairs. They were a bit difficult for me to use as i hv severe back problems and knee issues, but nonetheless we made it work. We will definitely be back!!

Beautiful and perfect location on the beach

The beach access was perfect, rooms were clean and the master view is breathtaking! Having a house compared to A room is so helpful. The station across the street was handy for anything we forgot. It's quiet, peaceful and totally relaxing with Crystal clear water and just the right amount of sunshine. We watched dolphins off the balcony and even saw a shark near the shoreline. It was a wonderful experience and we WILL be back. Thank you so much for this opportunity

Location was great- right on the beach. Pics on VRBO dont capture the poor quality of this unit. Steep stairs lead to a unit that is very poorly maintained. Furniture and bedding are old and stained. Sliding glass door is rotted and close to non functional- decking and exterior stairs are old, splintered and warped. AC ran constantly to marginally maintain cooling and produced a musty odor that clung to our clothes even after returning home- we just reeked- beach access was great- unit needs a good hurricane to wash it into the gulf.

The smell hits you as soon as you open the door. The stairs are absolutely grueling. The furniture was old and stained. Had to sit on towels. Disgusting. It was easy to see from the beach since it was the ugliest townhomes there. If I owned these I'd be embarrassed to admit it. The only thing to do is tear them down and rebuild. Just awful!!!

Beautiful Location and Perfect for Families!

This is our second time staying at a Sticks in the Sand unit. We came here again because the view is amazing, the beach is right out the backdoor, it is quiet, and we love the Whale's Tail! This is a great unit for a family. It was so nice having the bunk beds and extra bathrooms. The kitchen was the perfect size, but if you are coming here to cook and not eat out, the utensils and pots/pans are very old, scratched up, and quite honestly, very gross to cook with. The grill outside was awesome and we used that a lot! The beach closet had a ton of toys and chairs so you really don't need to bring anything but an umbrella.The master bed was very uncomfortable but overall the house was clean upon arrival!

Thanks for the review. We replace kitchenware in the offseason. We rarely inspect it other than the maids putting away the dishes. So we really do not know if something has been damaged in season unless reported. Next time just reach out to us and we will happily replace the cookware. We have spares. Look forward to seeing you again at Sticks IN The Sand.

Location Location Location

Solid but unspectacular condo. No perks except for the location and private beach access. We never had to fight for a spot on the beach. The listing was accurate. The place could use some updating with better couches, beds, and mattresses. A couple minor annoyences like the grill isn't really maintained well, a broken patio chair, smelly washing machine, and a squeaky ceiling fan. The owner and maintenance was prompt with communication and offering to fix when i brought someone to their attention. Overall you won't be dissatisfied if youre looking for a beacfront condo on the cheaper side on scenic gulf drive.

Great location

Location was great! Had a mishap of someone parking in our spot (parking is extremely tight. I would suggest one vehicle if possible.) It was a Saturday and the owner was prompt on getting the vehicle moved. The town house is spilt up into two buildings instead of one large town house but we didn’t mind. One room had bunk beds and a single bed which was extremely convenient. The view from the master bedroom is spectacular. The master bed is hard but it’s sleepable and honestly we were there for the beach not the bed. This town house could use some updates but you can’t beat the location or the quick response of the owner.

Great Location, Needs Work

The location of this townhome is amazing! Literally you are steps to the beach and it’s fantastic! We felt safe letting the kids go down alone. For what you pay this place needs a lot of updating. Peeling paint on all the cabinets, duct tape on the transition piece into one of the bathrooms, rotting wood around the door frames. The touches other condos have this place does not and you pay the same price. I’m sure being that close to the water things are damp a lot, but the mildew smell was very strong for me. They only have one trash bag for you and one roll of paper towels and toilet paper so bring yours from home. We won’t stay here again.

We arrived exhausted, expecting to see a beautiful condo like was shown on the web! Instead, the place was dirty and smelled. We had to go get cleaning supplies. We used bleach wipes on the stair rails because they were sticky. The furniture was old and smelled. The towels smelled awful. We had to wash them before we could use them. Chair on the balcony had the seat busted out and the railings on the outside were rotten. The bright sunny description on the web was definitely misleading as were the pics of the condo period. We will not stay there again.😡 couldn't sit in it. smelled.

Not one request or complaint from the guest during her stay? If you have an issue with ANYTHING either cleaning or Maint related we provide procedures at Check in to have them addressed. We can not fix what is not reported. This rental is in a great location and has a great view, but the unit needs a complete overhaul. There is black mold in the A/C which I'm highly allergic to and has cause me to have a very nasty infection. The unit was dirty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. The livingroom furniture is outdated, smells, and questionable. The master bed was broken (support) and the mattress sagged. We couldn't even sleep in the bed. Half the lights were out and the A/C was insufficient to cool the upper storey of the unit. Oh, and the kicker is, the unit is so nasty, we ended up with Scabies (probably from the nasty furniture). So yea, we have to go to get medication for that. I could list more, but I'll stop here.I will never stay here again. I hate leaving bad reviews, and this is the first bad review I've ever had to leave for a VRBO and we stay in VRBOs everywhere we go.

Brandon you are the worst kind of guest. The guest that stays the entire trip, never contacts the owner, at all, and then complains on a review about all the issues? Mostypur issues could have been resolved easily and during your stay. Does the furniture need replacing? Absolutely! This is the year for end of life.. We will do it november. It is functional and other than not looking great it works fine. The air conditioning works fine as well and IF YOU called us we could have explained to you how it works. From a cleaning perspective IF YOU had an issue, all you had to do is reach out to the cleaning service they would have come back and fix any issue. Instead you waited three weeks, posted a review to trash them, but you never gave them the opportunity correct their issue? Our maid service guarantees their work. IF you have an issue simply call them in the first 24 hours and they return to correct it. Perhaps during a golf round you wandered in the woods to get your golf ball? Thats where I got it scabies 15 years ago. But no one before or after you have complained about any such issue.. I am sorry you're stay was so horrible because you had a medical issue but I assure you it did not come from our property we launder everything between every stay and it would have never been transferred to you or anyone else. As someone who's had scabies in the past I can understand how it scared you and you want to lay blame. All the best and a speedy recovery
