My family of four with two young children had a fantastic week here! The lake is quiet, crystal clear and full of waterfowl, fish & frogs. On the cooler rainy days we took full advantage of the children's kayaks, canoe and pedal boat. The cottage itself was clean, updated and had everything we needed. Our host was lovely and available to reach during our stay. We visited nearby attractions like Santa's Village and the Rosseau Farmers Market. We were sad to leave and our kids made us promise to come back next summer :)

This was a quintessential Muskoka cottage experience. The cottage was well appointed, clean and in great shape. The host was accommodating, and obviously an experienced cottager herself, with everything you really needed to enjoy a week. The lake is amazing, partly with cottages and probably half of it on crown land. It would take me a good hour to circumnavigate it in a canoe, each morning. The water is just right, not too cold, nor too warm. Wildlife in the form of loons, fish, frogs, an incredibly chatty set of ravens, and a lot of fish, was bountiful and we even had a visit from an otter one time at dusk. We would gladly return again.

This property is a beautiful spot to relax on the lake. We had everything we needed in the spotless cottage. The kitchen is well stocked and the bbq worked great. There are so many spots to relax in comfort, inside and out. This was our second stay and it was just as comfortable and relaxing as we remembered.

Our week at this cottage was wonderful. We were there with our 2 young Grandchildren who loved the kids kayaks, paddle board, canoe, paddle boat and fishing off the dock. Everyday was a new adventure. Cottage was clean and everything worked well. The water quality of High Lake was exceptional and clear. Bugs were almost non existent with exception of a few mosquitoes around the campfire at night. The location is private and quiet with very minimal boat traffic. Dana, our host was very attentive and all communication was easy and efficient The only thing we might have missed would have been air conditioning if we had experienced a really hot humid or smoky week. As it turns out, the weather was perfect with a breeze off the lake most days and cooling off at night for sleeping. There are ceiling fans and floor fans in the cottage to help if needed. Will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Vacation

We had a wonderful week at Dana's cottage. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped. The dock and lake are beautiful - perfect for relaxing, swimming, and paddle boarding. Dana was quick to reply to messages. We highly recommend Dana's cottage for a getaway!

It felt like you were at the cottage staying here. My kids had the time of their life being able to catch fish and swim in the lake. Dana was a great host especially leaving the smores kit as a welcome gift.

My 7 year old son said “it was awesome!” My kids really enjoyed the children’s kayaks and swimming (in October). Beautiful sun during the middle of the day and beautiful sunset. It was incredibly clean and comfortable. Dana was the best host. Great communication.

Picturesque and relaxing

Dana's cottage was clean, well equipped and oh so relaxing! The beds were good and there was lots of comfortable seating inside and out. The lake view was spectacular and we spent most of our time swimming, pedal boating and paddle boarding. We had one rainy day and there was enough space inside for us (4 adults) to hangout and play games. We would definitely rent again!

This was our family's second time at Dana"s beautiful cottage. Our grandchildren loved the kayaks and all the water toys provided. The children loved the loons, otters and frogs. The adults enjoyed the canoe, stand up paddle and the peddle boat. The water was warm for swimming and barbecuing was very convenient. The lake was quiet and a beautiful view from the deck, front porch and the bedroom! Thankyou

Perfect cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage perfectly located on High lake. There were clear entry instructions, and the surprise S'Mores package was a classy touch. We loved the dock, easy access to swimming by the ladder or walking in on the sand beach. It was an easy entry and exit for the canoe and our friends enjoyed the paddle board from the dock. There are other cottages close by but everyone was very respectful and our campfires felt very private. There is no wifi. The cottage is very well equipped with washer and dryer and barbecue.

Perfection!

We couldn’t believe our good fortune, spending a whole week at this location! It was perfect! So quiet! We spent a lot of time on the beautiful dock. The lake was clear and the sand warm. The cottage is in a very quiet, unspoiled part of the lake. Canoeing was wonderful - so much nature to see, since a large portion of the lake is Crown Land. We saw otters, loons, a hummingbird, and some very friendly ducks. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was provided. Just excellent.

Second year!

This is our second year staying at Dana’s property. I have nothing but good things to say. It’s a perfect spot for our family of 4. The cottage is clean and updated. My kids love sharing a room with bunk beds. My toddler loves the beach and walks into the water and my 6 year old loves to climb down the dock. We used the paddle boards, canoe and paddle boat. Pro tip: check out the waterfall. I would recommend bringing water shoes as there is some weeds growing from the bottom. We unfortunately had to leave a day early due to a family emergency but we are hoping to stay two weeks next summer. Thank you Dana.

Lovely quiet location. Clean . Comfortable beds. Kitchen had all you needed. Loved ladder on dock had wide steps. TV worked well and lots of games to play. Canoe and paddle boat good. BBQ worked good. Only issue was smell in a bedroom like BO? Would come again.

Excellent

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It is obvious that the owners have beautifully updated their cottage to make it more welcoming and comfortable. It was not warm enough to go swimming, but we saw many pleasure boats that could be used by guests, such as a paddble boat, canoe and paddle boards. The fall colours were really spectacular, and some days it was warm enough that we could sit outside and enjoy the view. Thank you for the opportunity to stay here.

Just what we needed

The cottage is lovely and has all the conveniences you could ask for. Lying in bed and looking out onto the peaceful lake is the perfect way to start the day. Being at the far end of the lake with an expanse of crown land on one side made it very peaceful. Although there were a few motor craft about, the lake was very peaceful. I discovered a love of paddle boarding this holiday, something I likely wouldn’t have tried if there weren’t a couple of paddle boards at the cottage for us to use. We did local hikes as well as ones in Algonquin, this was a great base for exploring the area. Definitely would recommend a stay at this lovely location and cottage.

Amazing Cottage - perfect for families

The cottage was exactly as described and honestly I felt it was much nicer than the photos show. Super clean, large and more than our family of four needed. The small beach was perfect for my Little’s and it’s shallow for a while which didn’t leave me worrying about the kids walking in and hitting a drop off. I would recommend water shoes if you don’t like mucky bottoms. There was loads of sand toys, noodles, floaties and life jackets which never left us bored. Gorgeous view of the lake and very private. The cottage was spotless and the laundry was life changing with two small kids. The fully stocked kitchen was great but we BBQ’d almost every night. Dana and Ilan left us a s’mores kit which was very thoughtful. The cottage had more than we needed and we will be booking again next summer, for 2 weeks instead of just one!

Wonderful cottage, great location

We had a lovely time at the cottage. It was immaculate, lots of space, accommodated all 7 of us very well. Kitchen was well-stocked, beds were comfortable, the view of the lake from the cottage was incredible - easily the best part of our stay. The only downside was due to uncontrollable circumstances - due to recent poor weather and high water levels, the beach area was unusable for our little ones (toddlers) which was unfortunate as the private beach was the main reason we booked this location - but there were some nice beaches with a 30-minute drive from the cottage which we used. Dana was wonderful - she always replied promptly and even left a smores kit for us as a welcome present which we enjoyed immensely! Would definitely recommend - just keep in mind the changing nature of the beach if you have little ones :) Still a wonderful stay overall!

Great Cottage Experience!

Absolutely an amazing cottage. The cottage itself was modern, clean and fully stocked. The lake was clean and great for swimming. The whole family had a great time!
