In our ground-floor apartment in the “Altes Schulhaus” in Greising, a unique atmosphere with a breathtaking view awaits you. Spanning 84 m² and decorated with regional artwork, the space is designed to make you feel completely at home: a spacious living area with a tiled stove and a sleeper sofa that sleeps 2 additional guests, 1 bedroom for 2 people (high-quality mattresses), a modern, fully equipped kitchen (open-concept kitchen, set for 6 people, toaster, coffee maker, oven, glass-ceramic cooktop, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, electric kettle, blender), an exclusive bathroom (hair dryer, full-length mirror, hand towels, bath towels) with a round glass shower, natural stone tiles, 2 sinks, and a separate toilet—both with windows—as well as a washer and dryer in a separate room. The vacation apartment in the “Altes Schulhaus” in Greising is located 800 m above the Danube Valley in the picturesque mountain village of Greising near Deggendorf (8 km from downtown), just a 10-minute drive from the A3 and A92 Munich-Deggendorf highways. This incredibly cozy, historic house (Altes Schulhaus Greising) was renovated with great care and high-quality furnishings. The original details were preserved, and state-of-the-art amenities were added for our guests. A magnificent panoramic view awaits you. In both summer and winter, Greising guarantees a relaxing atmosphere for those seeking rest and relaxation, families, or sports enthusiasts. Two excellent, traditional inns are located in the immediate vicinity. For our younger guests, there’s a small playground across the street with a ping-pong table and a large play area behind the house, as well as a soccer field in town. Just a stone’s throw away, an idyllic swimming lake, the “Greisinger Weiher,” offers a refreshing dip. Right on your doorstep, you’ll find numerous hiking trails (Böhmweg, Goldsteig, etc.) and mountain bike trails (including the Trans Bayerwald). Welcoming mountain huts invite you to stop for a break. The Dreitannenriegel/Geißkopf recreational area has something for everyone. The bike park in Bischofmais can be reached by car (15 min) or by mountain bike (45 min) on forest roads. The 18-hole golf course on the Rusel, set in a very scenic location, is just under a 5-minute drive away. The nearby Hausstein (10 min) features a launch site for paragliders. In winter, the floodlit ski lift in Greising is available for skiers and snowboarders right nearby. (Ski lessons available). Larger ski resorts in the area include our Geißkopf and the Großer Arber. Cross-country skiers can access the extensive network of trails (50 km of classic and skating) directly from Greising. A night cross-country trail complements the diverse daytime offerings. There’s also a small sledding hill in the village. Winter hikers and snowshoers can enjoy the groomed trails and snow-covered paths along the Böhmweg, in the Rusel and Dreitannenriegel areas, or in the Bavarian Forest National Park. Check-in is from 2:00 PM or by arrangement; check-out is possible between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM. Keys are handed over in person on site. Please contact us before your arrival. Payment is due in cash upon arrival; no deposit is required. Pets are allowed upon request (for a fee). A crib is available upon request. For a party of 4 people, including children, please inquire about the price! No parties. Services included in the base price: final cleaning, utilities, bed linens, towels, Wi-Fi, parking, and use of the washer and dryer (available upon request).
