We were very impressed with this cabin, enough that we will revisit in the near future. It was beautiful inside and the Glover river is only about 15 feet off the back deck.

The directions and check-in instructions were easy to follow, and the property was exactly as described. It was all very clean and the beds were comfortable. My husband was able to fish a few times in the river during our stay, and it was a cozy place to come 'home' to after spending the afternoon floating the Mountain Fork River. My daughter had so much fun watching all the birds and wildlife through the large windows and off the back porch. We hope to come back in the fall or maybe next year.

This cabin was really cute & loved that it’s on the river. I will say I wouldn’t recommend to stay here in the summer months. There is only 1 tiny ac in the living room for the entire cabin. It just cannot keep up with the summer heat. At night it was about 80 degrees and around 85 during the day. Otherwise it’s a nice cabin. We also thought we might have access to the pond on the property but was advised by the pond owner that it did not come with the cabin we rented so we couldn’t use the kayaks that came with the cabin.

The pond across the street is on private property and we do not advertise use for our guest. The kayaks that are at our cabin is for the river that is just outside of cabin that our guest can use while staying in our cabin. We assure you we do everything possible to make our guest have the best possible vacation. Paula

Overall wonderful stay and would recommend!Cabin is very comfortable, clean, and spacious. Kitchen is a good size and easy to navigate. The view in the back/back porch was lovely and not terribly buggy. Very much enjoyed curling up on the comfy chairs in the living room with big comfy blankets. Property was easy to find and communication with owner was easy peasy. A few FYIs:There’s private property (man made pond/beach) that looks like it could be part of the cabin communal property but it’s not. (Neighbors that own it really should put up a “private property” sign!).The cabin is elevated about one story off the ground and there’s a good number of stairs to climb to get into the cabin. Pack smaller, lighter bags bc you’ll need to haul them up!The tap water in the area has a unpleasant taste; we always bring bottled water and bagged ice.

We had difficulty getting thru the gate. The number provided didn’t work. We had to wait for the host to respond to get to the property . The a/c was not working properly and there were 2 fans running underneath the wall unit. Obviously, someone knew the system was not working correctly. As for cleanliness. The interior was clean. The back porch had spider webs on the railings and on the chairs. These webs were thick and looked to have been there a while. One of the chairs around the fire pit is cracked and pinched my leg. The a/c did cool the home so it was comfortable. The other couple left and got a room at the casino. There room had a ceiling fan and the remote worked both that fan and the living room fan. The living room fan is broken/unbalanced or something. It made a horrendous knocking noise when on. This made the ceiling fan in both the second bedroom and the living room in operable. I contacted the host in the morning and told her we would not be staying the second night. The host said the repairman came out and fixed the unit that afternoon. We were only staying here for 36 hours, we made it 16. The coffee maker is on a shelf in the kitchen. My husband is 5’10, he had to use a ladder to use it.

I am truly sorry you had a bad experience at our cabin. We strive to make our guest have a wonderful experience. You just sent us a message in the morning and said you were leaving and did not even give us a chance to make things right. You told me what degrees you kept your home on and the degrees in cabin was less than your own home. I responded quickly on the gate code issue (4 minutes) and it has been fixed on VRBO. The A/C unit was checked out and back cooling properly within few hours of you leaving. Thank you for letting me know about the broke chair and porch and will make cleaners aware and get it taken care of. I am sorry you felt like the coffee pot was too high, you were more than welcome to have just set it down on the countertop during your stay. The living room ceiling fan has been worked on recently and unable to fix so another fan has been ordered to replace it. We strive to have our guest have a wonderful experience and we are sure we will have many happy customers in the future.

Air Conditioning would not work for more than half out stay. After multiple messages to the owner, it took us reaching out to VBRO to have anything done. We liked the house but it was a continuous hassle.

Misty, we’d like to clarify a few details regarding your stay. During that weekend, our area experienced extreme temperature swings, which put significant strain on A/C systems across the region. As a result, HVAC companies were overwhelmed with service requests. We spent several hours contacting multiple vendors to get a technician out as quickly as possible, but availability was extremely limited due to the high demand. This situation was unfortunately outside of our control, and there was no delay related to communication with VRBO — we were actively working to secure the earliest possible service appointment. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced and understand how frustrating it can be. We always aim to provide a great experience and appreciate your feedback.
