Enjoy your vacation home, “Alex,” on the edge of the forest—a great starting point for exploring the Emsland region and the park-like grounds of Clemenswerth Castle.

Discover the surrounding area on the numerous biking and hiking trails located right next to the Sögel vacation home area. Explore the charming town center of Sögel, just about 1,300 meters away, with several cozy restaurants, cafés, and a variety of shopping options.

The Alex vacation home is a true gem of relaxation. With 110 square meters of space, it can accommodate up to five people. On the first floor, you’ll find a cozy double bedroom, a bright bathroom, and an open, well-equipped kitchen with a dining area. From the cozy living area, you have direct access to the covered terrace and the garden with a grill—ideal for relaxing outdoors.

Upstairs, another single bedroom and a twin bedroom invite you to linger, complemented by an additional bathroom with a bathtub.

Welcome to the non-smoking Alex vacation home, your home away from home!

In addition, the Alex vacation home offers its own sauna (available for an extra fee) in a small cottage behind the carport—a place of pure relaxation after an active day in Sögel, the Hümmling Nature Park, and the Emsland region.

As guests in the Sögel vacation home area, you can enjoy a wide range of recreational activities in the town of Sögel (prices subject to change):
- At the “Fitness & Gesundheit Sögel” gym (approx. 1,600 m from the vacation home area) and Era-Gym Sögel (approx. 2,500 m from the vacation home area): free weight area, cardio equipment, strength training machines, and various classes / Day pass: 10.00 EUR per person, including water and mineral drinks
- Indoor tennis court and outdoor tennis facilities at TV-Rot-Gold Sögel e. V. / approx. 1,600 m from the vacation home area / Fee per outdoor court per hour: 6.00 EUR / Indoor courts: price upon request
- Sögel Climbing Forest: 10% discount off the regular ticket price / approx. 500 m from the vacation home area
- Boules court, including balls / approx. 1,600 m from the vacation home area / Free to use
- Outdoor chess board with large pieces in the vacation home area / Free to use

The Sögel vacation home area will be expanded at the end of 2026. Noisy construction work will begin in November 2026 and end in March 2027. No construction work will take place between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Quiet hours in the Sögel vacation home area will be observed even during construction!
