Come and stay in this beautifully renovated home located in Arrabida, the most stunning coastal area in Portugal“ one of the best places in Europe to visit in 2025” Conde and Nast Traveller.
Arrabida Was described as “ The secret Portuguese paradise less than a hour-away from Lisbon” , by the Sunday Times newspaper .Surrounded by stunning nature and the most gorgeous beaches near by it is the perfect location to unwind .
The city of Setubal with its historical charm and multiple restaurants and cafes is 10 minutes away . The area is steeped culture with wineries and vineyards to visit when you’re not enjoying a boat trip dolphin watching .
The house has been beautifully renovated with a large pool and plenty of our door space to enjoy including a spacious barbecue area
For cosy autumn nights it hás a wood burning fire .
One of the nicest rooms in the property is the upstairs pre are bedroom with its own bath and é suite bathroom . You can lie in bed and look out at the stars ..

Nature, Pool and the interior of the house let us have an amazing time there! Really clean, well equipped, easy self check-in and good communication.

Gorgeous home in a magical location. The photos truly reflect the condition of the property. The owners are attentive and kind. Answered any and all questions before and during our stay. The attention to detail made this place stand out. The pool was inviting and super clean. The driveway is steep, but was manageable even with our giant three row van we rented. It was nice to be higher up because the views of the mountains were stunning. I was somewhat hesitant to book somewhere without any reviews, but I am so happy with our choice to stay at Suzannah and James' home near Setubal. The beaches in this area are breathtaking and the fact that this isn't a very touristy area was super appealing. Rent a car and check out Cabo Espichel. The market in Setubal offered all the fresh meat, fish, baked goods, cheese and produce that one could ever need and in amazing quality. There is a fox that would come visit the home in the evening and my kids were so fascinated. I hope to return someday to this place.

Not Cleaned & Industrial Traffic NoiseUnfortunately, our stay got off to a poor start as the villa had not been cleaned following the previous guests’ departure. The host asked us to leave the property while this was resolved, and we were able to return later once the cleaning had been completed.While the villa itself is attractive and well-presented we quickly realised its location was the real issue . The property is situated 2 minutes from an industrial cement plant and not in the “Heart of the Arrabida national park”. From approximately 7am to 9pm each day there is a constant stream of heavy lorries using the nearby road. The resulting noise is significant and unpleasant. Before booking, we specifically asked the host about the road. We were told it was not “ absolute peace and quiet” . The host withheld the Information of the nearby cement factory and the volume of industrial traffic and noise . Had we been made aware of this, we would not have chosen this property. The lack of disclosure regarding the industrial traffic and noise, combined with the cleanliness issue on arrival, made this a disappointing experience. Despite communication with the host regarding the industrial traffic and noise there has been no acknowledgement of their legal responsibility to disclose this Information.

It is unfortunate that this guest felt it necessary to write such a review, só for the sake of transparency and clarity I feel it would be suitable to address her comments . With regards to the property not being cleaned on arrival ,unfortunately the cleaners had over looked this booking. When the guests arrived the beds were unmade and there were towels on the bathroom floor . The guest informed us immediately and we agreed they could leave their bags and return after they had had lunch . The property was totally clean and ready 2 hours later and the guests were given a full refund of first night for the inconvenience . It is a shame the guest in her review did not feel it relevant to mention this With regards to noise :- I had various conversations with this guest on another booking site on which she innitially contacted me about the property . The guest asked about traffic noise and I stated clearly that the house sat above the road . There was some traffic noise during the day but at night it was silent. I also stated that everyone’s response to noise was different and that “ if you want total peace and quiet this is not the place for you “ The client booked We have had 5 other bookings this far and not a single complaint, 3 on this site, giving excellent reviews . Unfortunately , for what ever reason the client felt she deserved a full refund which she did not receive , hence the review which does not reflect in any way the experience of other guests .

Maison très agréable bien agencée et magnifiquement décorée, on y vit plus à l'extérieur avec plusieurs terrasses (abritées et carrelées) et salons de jardin avec des coussins, canapés, chaises longues, en fonction de la météo, on peut prendre ses repas à plusieurs endroits de la maison, cuisine d'été avec frigo, évier et plancha ce qui est très agréable, belle piscine avec vue sur la montagne Arrabida, de belles fleurs et plantes tout autour de la maison. On a même eu la visite d'un petit renard!Attention côte très raide pour monter de la route à la maison et à déplorer le bruit des passages des camions en journée sur la route en contre bas mais la maison est très belle et agréable à vivre, plages à côté, centre ville à 15 min. 40 min de LisbonneOn a passé un très beau séjour.
