The host was fantastic, the house was wonderful. We ran a little early, we were granted early access. Once inside, we were greeted with an inviting cool temperature and all the tvs were on, like the house was waiting for us. Everything was clean, the view was amazing and so close to the ocean. The house is located on a quiet street but also in an area where you can walk to local shops and enjoy the busier life. We had 12 in our group. The kids lived in the pool, the teenagers loved to walk around checking out the area, the men fished from the shore while us moms walked the beach. It was a lovely family beach house.

The property has fantastic beach access, and the balconies are perfect for watching sunsets and the surf. Everything was clean when we arrived. There are three separate floors with bedrooms, bathrooms, and balconies, so everyone could have their privacy if they wanted it. The living area is large enough to accommodate everyone getting together for meals, tv, or conversation. The TV's and Wi-Fi all worked with no problems. The location is close to several good restaurants and activities. The pool is small. We had two adults and three children in it and that is probably the max. Some of the previous reviews spooked us a bit, but we didn't encounter any significant issues. The property manager was fantastic. We would rent it again.

Unfortunately, our experience with this property was very disappointing. During our stay, we encountered multiple maintenance and cleanliness issues, including a leaking roof, dirty pool, broken ceiling fans, a non-functioning oven, and a broken ice maker.The lack of a working oven was especially problematic because a member of our party has celiac disease and relies on access to a functional kitchen to safely prepare gluten-free meals. This created additional stress and unexpected expenses during our vacation.While we understand that occasional maintenance issues can occur, the number of problems we encountered suggested that the property was not adequately inspected prior to our arrival.We communicated our concerns and received only a partial refund. When we requested further consideration due to the cumulative impact of these issues, we were informed that no additional discussion would take place.The location itself was great, but based on the condition of the property and the handling of our concerns, we would not stay here again or recommend this property to others.

You're right that the volume of issues you encountered — particularly a non-functioning oven for a guest with dietary medical needs, goes beyond what any family should have to manage on vacation, and we take that seriously. We do want to be transparent: several of the concerns you raised, including the pool, were reported during your stay and addressed by our team in real time. We wish the oven and other items had been caught in our pre-arrival inspection, and your feedback has prompted us to review our property checklist process. Regarding the refund, we made the best determination we could based on the information available and the remediation steps taken during your stay. We understand you feel that decision didn't fully reflect the impact, and we're sorry we weren't able to reach a resolution that felt right to you. Overall would recommend this property to others, but it was clear this is a new rental property and there are a few things to be worked out. Most importantly, the house is part of a duplex, which was not clearly stated in the listing. This is important to know as the pools are next to each other with a shared patio space. Additionally, the adjoining duplex was undergoing some exterior plasterwork during our stay which was rather disruptive as we paid for a beachfront property expecting to be able to listen to the ocean. The other duplex is owned by a different management company. The construction was unavoidable, but had we known the listing was part of a duplex, we would have reconsidered. We were also surprised by the lack of pool seating (1 lounger, 2 chairs, and a table for a house that sleeps 12) and no beach chairs. We ended up buying our own beach chairs and leaving them behind for future guests. The oven and ice maker were not functioning. We ended up seeing this in a previous review and asking the renters about it and they had already supplied a countertop style oven which met our needs. However, we were not made aware of these things. Otherwise, the rental company was incredibly responsive to any and all of our concerns. There were a few minor issues with lights being burnt out or a wobbly shower door that they had fixed immediately. The location on the beach was amazing and allowed for a rather private beach escape on a busy holiday weekend.
