The Space:

Enjoy unbeatable views of Apalachicola Bay at this wonderful Island home in the East End neighborhood. Spend lazy afternoons at your private, refreshing pool. Dabble or swim from the white sandy bay beach or relax the day away in the hanging swing at the pool deck. Footprints in the Sand offers an amazing Island location close to local shops, restaurants, nightlife, the State Park, and St. George Lighthouse Museum. Whether spending the day splashing in the surf and picking up seashells, exploring the Island on the nearby bicycle path, or just curling up with a good book and a refreshing beverage on the deck, this property has something for everyone!



The exterior of this home offers a sparkling pool (heated for a fee) on the bay front; an outdoor shower, a fish cleaning area, and a park-style grill for your fresh catch. The fenced-in pool deck offers both shaded spaces to relax and visit or a sun deck where you can grab your Florida tan. An exterior staircase connects the ground level and pool deck to all the exterior decks of the home.



The first floor offers the main bedroom with a TV, direct access to the covered deck with rocking chairs, and a full bathroom. The second bedroom also enjoys direct access to the covered deck. The third twin bedroom has a TV. A shared full bathroom is provided along with a convenient laundry room with a washer/dryer. The second floor offers gorgeous, sweeping views of the bay from an open living/dining/kitchen floor plan with three sets of French doors to the covered deck. Cozy up in the comfortable living room and enjoy the wood-burning fireplace in the winter. A TV provides entertainment for your crew and the comfy sofa converts to a queen sleeper. Step out to the covered deck and enjoy breakfast on the patio table. Additional deck seating allows you to enjoy coastal views well into your evening. The well-appointed kitchen has all you need to prepare a fantastic dinner to enjoy at the dining table. Beach gear credit is included with this home - book a stay and get your choice of kayaks, paddleboards, and beach chairs!

The Footprints in the Sand was a very nice place to stay this week. Overall very clean. The private pool was really nice to have as well. Avari management was excellent in responding to and resolving any issues we contacted them about. Thank you for helping to make our family vacation a pleasant one. Highly recommend.

What a nice home to stay in. The bedrooms were roomy and the beds so comfortable. The living space provided everyone their own crash area. We had a puzzle on the coffee table going and Lego building in the dining area. Bracelet making at the kitchen bar. Enjoyed the outside space as well. Reading on the deck listening to the rain was very comforting. Our stay unfortunately was during a tropical storm. Between rains we were jumping in the pool having a great time. We did not get beach time, but the house was big enough for all of our activities. Set back away from the main road was really nice and peaceful.

Overall, the house was exactly what we were hoping it would be except for 2 things. 1st, the pictures showed just a sandy beachy area and no rocks by the bay in the back yard. But when we arrived, we found massive boulders blocking the water, which is not what the pictures depicted. 2nd, we ended up having to pay 75 plus tax per night to keep the pool heater on and it didn’t really heat the pool hardly at all which was disappointing. Also the pictures & information don’t really accurately show the layout of the home. But overall we did love the dock, the privacy of the home and the views of sunsets from the dock. It was still a great stay, but there just were things that could’ve improved a bit to make it a better experience

Very nice place by the bay

Pretty place, tucked away by the bay side of St George. The view of the bay is exceptional, and the house has plenty of room to meet as a family, or split up in groups as needed.

Please read the complete list of amenities. The pictures show the kayaks but they are not part of the rental, “that is on me for assuming they were”. There could be some minor upgrades. Some electrical outlets need replacing. Very lose connection which can be a fire hazardWould recommend this rental. We enjoyed our stay
