The property was great however, the beds were not very comfortable. The first night we slept in the bedroom right off the deck. It was very uncomfortable. The next two nights we slept in the other bedroom in the full size bed. It was uncomfortable but not as bad as the queen size bed. Otherwise, the property was great and in a great location.

The home is in a great location and has many positive features, but unfortunately our stay was impacted by several significant issues.The biggest concern was the air conditioning. During the day, the indoor temperature consistently stayed around 80F, making it uncomfortable to spend time inside the house. It didn’t begin to cool down until after sunset, even with multiple box fans and all of the ceiling fans running continuously. We contacted the host multiple times during our stay to report the issue but never received a response, which was especially disappointing since we were hoping for assistance while the problem was occurring.We also noticed that the exterior of the house was starting to show signs of wear. The wooden stairs were deteriorating, and the siding appeared to be in need of maintenance as well. We did not experience any leaks during our stay, but based on the condition of the rest of the property, I would anticipate it may not be long before the roof begins to have issues if it is maintained in the same way.The location and the home itself have a lot of potential, but comfortable sleeping accommodations, a properly functioning air conditioning system, responsive communication, and general upkeep are important parts of any vacation rental experience. We hope these issues are addressed for future guests. In short, I wouldn’t recommend.

I cannot recommend this property any less. The listing photos do not reflect the home’s current condition. Had they been accurate, I would never have booked it.The A/C barely worked, and the house stayed above 81F our entire stay. We had to use our own fans after management promised additional fans or a portable A/C that never arrived. The shower was clogged for two days, the shower curtain was covered in mold, and management expected us to hang the replacement ourselves.The bedding was filthy, with visible stains on the sheets, comforters, and even the bed skirts. Several pillows had no pillowcases. Management acknowledged this and promised a refund. The mattresses were so uncomfortable we slept on air mattresses. The refrigerator smelled and barely cooled food. The furniture was stained, the blinds and toilet seat were broken, there was hair in the shower, dusty vents, and the washer/dryer were rusted and left our clothes smelling worse.Before addressing our issues or answering questions about our refund, they sent checkout instructions asking us to “lend a hand” by cleaning to help their cleaning crew. After arriving to dirty bedding, mold, dust, and maintenance issues, that request was unbelievable.I documented everything with photos. This home has clearly been neglected and is grossly overpriced. We paid for a relaxing vacation but spent our time dealing with problems that should have been resolved before our arrival. I would not stay here again.

Location of this property was perfect for our small family. Located directly on the bay with a great view from the back deck. The Gulf is about a football field distance from the house in the opposite direction. We were there the week Tropical Storm Bertha pushed the storm surge onto Gulf facing beaches- 2 days of red flag and 2 days of double red kept us off the beach and out of the Gulf, but the bayside beach was calm and welcoming. While properties to the west of us experienced flooding, that was not an issue at the end of Saint Stephen’s Street. The management agency-Avari- was very proactive sharing information about the pending storm. They also responded promptly to questions I had about previous poor reviews.Beds are incredibly uncomfortable. There are ants in the house, appliances are worn out (washer walks the floor during spin cycle, dryer lint trap is non working, coffeemaker is missing parts (purchased a drip coffee maker and left it)). Kitchen appears to have been stocked from a ReStore sale table…not enough silverware, dishes, or cookware for each occupant to be able to have a place setting at a meal. There is a picnic table on the back deck with exposed screw heads in the seat. A person would be hard pressed to find anything in the house that does not need to be repaired or replaced…appliances, furniture, cooling system, fixtures, decorations.Without some major upgrades, I would not recommend this property to a friend.
