Exceeded our expectations, great attention to detail inside and out. Loved how each room was furnished, coffee station to meet anyone’s needs. Could definitely stay in this place longer with its cozy outdoor setting, bbq, Mountain View’s. Will definitely be back.

Wonderful Guard House Getaway

Property was everything we saw on line and more. House is elegantly furnished and exceptionally comfortable! Area also extremely quiet. Owners live next door and couldn’t be more accommodating. We will return on next visit to Tucson!!

Gem of a rental!

Wonderful place. Beautifully appointed and well stocked. Loved the outside area to relax, read, have a cup of coffee or glass of wine. Very comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

Quiet Historic Gem

Tucked into a quiet, but well connected, neighborhood, it was perfect for a get away. We could easily see ourselves staying more than a week! The local contacts are friendly and informative, the signage inside is super helpful, the house and ground as well kept and very cozy.

Historical home , close to park and other activities.

My dogs and I enjoyed this stay so much , lots of yard for dogs , close to walking park . The home is classically decorated and has great extras - coffee in the morning. Highly recommend a stay here if in Tucson . I went to the Opera in Tucson and classic car show, both just perfect .

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Historic Guard House. It was exactly as advertised both inside and out. The home was tastefully decorated with antiques and art. Outside were multiple sitting areas with beautiful plantings and hummingbirds. We would stay there again if in the area.

Historic Guard House.

This is an extremely well appointed and clean venue. So much attention is paid to details in decor throughout the home. You feel as if you are in a museum, but with the luxury of modern conveniences. I would highly recommend this property. It is very convenient to many Tucson attractions.

Spotless, nice patio areas

Nice house and patio. Big park nearby with access to multi use plan along the “river.” The kitchen could benefit from a couple more things but otherwise was serviceable. A little weird not to be able to flush your TP (thanks to elderly plumbing) but the bins did a good job containing the smell.

a perfect house - you should stay here

The house was perfect in every way. Beautiful interior in a Victorian style. Great outdoor garden area for enjoying the sun. Adjacent to a park for walking the dogs - they loved it. Well equipped kitchen and bbq with everything you need for cooking. Location on a private road was quiet and secure. Close to groceries and a generally central location that was convenient to area attractions - most within about 20 or so minutes. When I come to Tuscon again, I will definitely stay here.

Overall lovely

This was a quick trip. The place was overall lovely, very comfortable and in a peaceful setting with everything you need within a short drive away. Three weeks prior to arrival I asked if an air mattress was available, to my knowledge I did not receive a response. Thankfully local family members lent us theirs. I’d book again and highly recommend this place.

Beginning 2024 in Tucson

This stay was our third year in Tucson and we found our “home away from home”! We loved so much staying at this outstanding property for nearly 2 months and have already booked time for next year! The surrounding area was both private and quiet with friendly neighbors, yet near a park so we could walk the dog. The home was wonderfully laid out and each room had extraordinary details with fine craftsmanship and interesting presentations. The living room, dining area, and kitchen were spacious with high ceilings, very comfortable furniture and a well furnished kitchen. The 3 bedrooms were also spacious with very comfortable beds, ample closet area, and interesting furnishings. The bedrooms were separated from the living/dining/kitchen area so early morning coffee or staying up late didn’t bother those sleeping in or retiring early. We enjoyed being outdoors and regularly spent time on the two cleverly set up outdoor patios for relaxing and grilling. We also appreciated being able to keep our new car in garage and using the garage door openers. Lastly, our hosts lived nearby and we enjoyed getting to know them! We appreciated them sharing with us some of their favorite local restaurants and their attentiveness to making our time at the Old Guardhouse so memorable!
