The fun started when our three hour Google Maps trip turned into over five hours. We figured we looked wrong the first time, but after the map took us through extreme one lane only off road in the deep woods going over a mountain we were stumped, kids were scared to death, seriously if I didn’t have an extremely capable off road truck, any other vehicle would of been ruined or not capable of making the trip. The next day we were able to investigate in the daylight and realize someone shut down the road as “locals only” on Google and that extra couple hours off road would have been three minutes of regular driving. Even sitting in front of the house the next day, Google wanted to take us two Hr around to get to the cabin we were literally sitting in front of. As far as the cabin, don’t let the pictures fool you, it’s a cabin, you will be greeted with bats and spiders, weird beetles at night, and the sounds of large rats running through the walls and ceilings. The cabin looks amazing on the photos, maybe it’s my fault for thinking it was going to be less cabin feeling. Pros- beds/showersCons - dirty floors/kitchen/applainces, no spare kitchen trash bags, no wood for the fire as listed, not private like the pictures make it seem, terrible lighting, probably to hide the bad cleaning job, fire alarm hanging open off the ceiling, and the final straw was a camera on the front of the cabin which was not listed at all, which is sketchy and against the rules. We left early.
