Dog-Friendly Home near Wallowa Lake w/Wraparound Deck, Free WiFi, Great Location

Summary:

Cabin in the Pines

The Space:

This three-bedroom home is located on the south side of Wallowa Lake and just a short block walk to all the activities at the resort side of Wallowa Lake like the Wallowa Lake Tramway and the Wallowa Lake Marina!

A large open floor plan keeps all of the family together while staying at this great home. The living room has large picture windows in it with tree line views giving you the feeling of being in a treehouse. The kitchen has all the modern conveniences of home and also a door out onto the private wraparound deck! The main floor bedrooms offer a queen bedroom and a king bedroom and a bathroom. Climb a spiral staircase and there is a large loft with two queens and two twins and another private full bathroom.

One of our favorite things about this home is that it has a cabin in the woods feel but is updated. There are plenty of area-relevant photos and information that gives you a unique look into what life in Wallowa County may have looked like years long ago.

THINGS TO KNOW

Seasonal bbqs are available from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. BBQs are propane and tanks are provided. We strongly encourage you to review your tank level in the morning and if a replacement is needed please reach out to your local contact for a tank replacement.

Occupancy and parking can not be exceeded.

No fires or firepits are ever allowed due to the heavy timbered area and county restrictions but the propane fireplace is allowed.

Other Things to Note:

Pets are welcome at this property for an additional pet fee of $150 per stay. Please add your pet during the booking process or contact us prior to arrival so the fee can be applied.

Fun at the Lake

Cabin in the Pines was nice, clean and close to Wallowa Lake. Easy to find and a fun cabin to stay at. We saw a lot of animals and love the big windows in the living room.

Great location, easy access

Cabin is close to everything and was great for my mobility challenged mom. She was able to park right by the front door and get inside without a lot of stairs.

Three Generations give it a thumbs up

The house was clean and comfortable. The upstairs was great for the grandchildren. The location of the house was nice as we were able to walk to everything that we needed. It was just far enough off the road to be quiet and private.

Cute and comfy getaway

This place was clean, comfortable and seemed to have everything we needed for our stay. The house is quite a bit closer to other homes than it shows in the photo, but neighbors were very low key and polite. There is a fireplace however the wood is stacked under the house soaking wet :-/. Other than this our experience was great. Beautiful place to visit!

The cabin was wonderful. It was extremely clean, and had everything you could want as far as kitchen appliances, dishes, cookware and everything to clean up after use. We had a totally relaxing stay. It is within walking distance to the Wallowa State Park, the Lake and the tramway. The deck is nice and large which the dogs loved. We were able to see many Bluejays that landed on the deck railing. Also visits from deer and ground squirrels. The bed is extremely comfortable ensuring a great nights sleep. The bathroom shower is so relaxing after a long days hike with lots of nice hot water. This cabin is definitely recommended.

Good location

The house was clean, well suited to our three families. Well stocked kitchen ware. Nice to have a fireplace but the wood that was there was too wet, so we needed to buy some. ( we came on a cold weekend )

Home in the pines.

It was a cute cabin that came with several problems. Upstairs air conditioning doesn’t work. This made for several nights of terrible sleep. No screens on the windows means bugs and flies. We were very dissatisfied with this situation. We were told there might be some sort of reimbursement but we have heard nothing.

Kathy, thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent stay. We're glad to hear that you found the cabin cute, but we sincerely apologize for the issues you experienced. The air conditioning on the upper level should have been functioning properly, and we understand how this affected your comfort and sleep during your stay. We’re also sorry to hear about the lack of screens on the windows and the inconvenience it caused with bugs. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we want to ensure all our guests have a pleasant experience. Regarding the reimbursement, we will follow up with our team to ensure they are aware and can provide a response on this matter. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future.

The outside trash can was overflowing on arrival. Note sent to property manager. Discovered no hot water !! Another note sent to prop manager. No hand towels in bathrooms. Only beach towels and wash rags. No towels in the kitchen. Paper towels only.House didn’t seem to warm up on first night running heater. The next morning I discovered upstairs bathroom window was left wide open. Closed window much more comfortable. Prop manager sent reply at 1:33am apologizing for the lack of cleanliness and hot water issues. Letting me know that he would notify the local team to correct the situation. The on Saturday mid morning I received another text from prop manager advising that these matters had been reported to the team and prop manager would follow up with me when they had more information. The next text I received was Saturday evening and was the standard reminder that checkout time is 10am and what we needed to do before departure. So, no meaningful response to our needs. No communication from the local team. Nothing!!Today May 17th is our 29th anniversary this weekend was a surprise trip for my wife. Well it was a surprise indeed. The two night stay cost over 900.00 and I feel we should have been treated like our stay mattered. We will not be conducting business with Avari in the future. The full text dialogue is available upon request.
