Outdoor enthusiasts will fall in love with everything about this home - you will enjoy access to a community waterfront area with a sandy beach and a private dock that you are welcome to tie your boats up to! Explore the waters with our provided adult kayak and a pedal boat that comfortably seats five. Kids can enjoy their own adventure with three children's kayaks. Spend your days paddling and splashing in the crystal-clear waters of Lake Anna. The firepit is a wonderful place to gather - bring your s'mores and get ready for some spooky storytelling!

Immerse yourself in the nautical-themed décor as you step into this modern and stylish home. Stream favorite movies and shows on the large smart TV in the spacious living room, or break out any of the provided board games for an entertaining evening at home. The fully-equipped kitchen showcases sleek stainless steel appliances, making meal preparation a delight. Gather around the dining area and enjoy delicious meals with your loved ones, overlooking the stunning lake views.

For those seeking indoor entertainment, our fabulous game room is sure to please. Challenge friends and family to a game of pool, air hockey, shuffleboard, ski ball, or foosball. Pros: Very clean house, loads of space. Access to water and kayaks and paddle boards was great. Cons: Kitchen pots and pans need to be replaced, the teflon coating has deep scratches.Suggestions: Add a pyrex casserole dish. Drinking glasses are needed (adult beverages)

House was beautiful. Property was nice. Dock, what there was of one is in need of repair. Steps to water are unstable, and do not go barefoot on the dock-you’ll get splinters. We took our pontoon with hopes of using the dock, but the water is too low. We had to use the HOA ramp and dock, and had to put in and take out daily. Paddle boards and kayaks were nice. Arcade games were a hit. There was one hair dryer provided in the entire house of 4 bathrooms. House/property/location were not worth the price we paid. Would not book this property again. Booked through VRBO, but all contacts were through VaCasa/Casago which was very confusing when trying to ask questions and make payments.

Relaxing hpuse for.Parents and kids!We loved this house! It has great amenities for families! We used it to gather 3 families together for.A few days. The adults took the top 2 floors and the kids the basement. Probably the most relaxing family style vacation. The house was clean. The amenities were many. I imagine in warmer weather, it's even more fun will likely book again!

Family fun

We had three families stay and it was an amazing time. The house was perfect just like the pictures! The Beach area is wonderful since the water at the house is very shallow for swimming if you have older children coming. We will definitely come back and stay again thank you🙂

Exceeded expectations!

This was a fun and relaxing family vacation!! We fished from the dock, went kayaking and paddle boarding, and spent a couple of days down at the private neighborhood beach! The house was well stocked, clean, and exceed our expectations!

This house was the right pick for our vacation. It's very clean, comfortable, and has great indoor and outdoor amenities. We were there during a heat wave and we felt so fortunate that this home is in a more shaded area. We all had a very relaxing vacation. No complaints at all.

Wonderful Stay!

A beautiful house with lake access. We made wonderful memories with family and friends. The house was immaculate and very well appointed. It was everything we had hope for and so much more to celebrate our son’s birthday. Superb communication throughout the reservation process. We cannot wait to return!

The kitchen amenities were lacking quality mostly.All the pans are teflon and completely unusable and the dishwasher made all the dishes so filthy. I like to cook and being so far from everything, you would expect to be able to cook in the house. The crockpot was missing the crock so we couldnt even use that. For the money I paid, I just expected more.

Great space and amenities

We really enjoyed our stay at Castaway Cove. The home has a great layout, so it never felt crowded even with 16 people, including children. It was clean, beds were cozy and location was great. Access to the kayaks, paddle boards, and pedal boats was such a great perk, and the kids loved the game room. Only critique would be that there are not quite enough linens and the kitchenware could have been larger considering the occupancy allowance.

Perfect house

We were 4 families and the house has enough space for everyone! The beds were very comfortable, the kids room J’s so many games that even the adults loved it. I am coming back and I highly recommend this house. The renters/Vacasa was very helpful and quick responding to any questions we had. Thank you so much.

Great for friends and family trips!

This was our 2nd trip there and each time has been delightful! I booked this for a mom(s) & kiddos holiday weekend to make the 4 day weekend seem a little broken up. Even knowing it was off-season, it did not disappoint! We still managed to paddle board, kayak and fish (plus we caught a bunch in the morning and evening)! I would definitely recommend for any occasion I. Or out of season. And I will book again

Great house

We used this house for a church youth retreat. The kids loved the house and the space. The game space downstairs kept them occupied during free time. The kitchen was well appointed enough for our needs. We could have used tongs, a crockpot, or a griddle but we were able to make do. The dock area can be a little confusing because of the other house close by. Overall, great space, great place, great trip!

The perfect home for a lakeside getaway!

Castaway Cove is the perfect place to relax and unwind. From the moment you drive up, its charm and beauty are evident. It is a brand new home that is immaculate and tastefully decorated, inside and out. It contains everything you could ever need for a fun getaway: a large, beautiful kitchen with plenty of seating, lots of areas to relax and hang out, comfy beds, an amazing game room, an awesome pirate room for the kids and a wonderful outdoor hot tub! The property is absolutely gorgeous with so many lakeside amenities-kayaks, paddle boats and a large dock. You will love your time at Castaway Cove! Ten stars!

It appears as the outside has not received the same attention as inside. The inside was clean and comfortable. The house felt peaceful. The boundaries were not clear. The private dock is a bit of a walk from the house and it appears to share some property with another rental. Overall

Fantastic weekend with friends

We had a friends weekend where the kids had a blast with all the arcade games downstairs, riding the paddleboards and kayaks, and in the hot tub, and the adults got to generally relax. The set up of the house was great - with the caveat that it would be ideal to have the loft be a bedroom with a door, but we knew that going in. Comfortable beds, although the couches in the living room are a little saggy and could be replaced, and curtains on the bedroom windows would have been great. Finally, there are just 2 kids life vests, so we'd suggest adding more or noting that so folks can bring their own. All in all, a wonderful place to stay!

Fantastic Getaway!!!

This property was everything we expected and more and a great place to celebrate Thanksgiving with the family. The only criticism I would give is the amount of light from the family room windows. During the day it got so hot from the sun beaming in. I would recommend the owner install remote shades. We were here in Thanksgiving and I can't imagine how hot it gets in the summer. The AC works great but then the other rooms are freezing. I would also recommend softer sheets and more cooking items (like mixing bowls, tupperware, etc..) in the kitchen.

Family time

It was a nice house. There was a crack in the downstairs tub The hot tub was gross. I reached out to the person I was suppose to and she did nothing about anything I still enjoyed my family and the lake, but for the money paid, not sure I will choose this particular house again. Oh and I called for trash to picked up. Never happened we took it ourselves

Four Families

We had four families stay a week in this house. It was very clean and the house was nice! We had a lot of fun and the kids swam in the water off the dock. The only problems were; the refrigerator/freezer did not work properly- nothing froze- it made no ice- we worried about all our food spoiling. I contacted guest services on the second day of the trip and no one ever came to look at it. The hot tub would not stay clear and we didn’t really get to use it at all (which we didn’t want to much anyway because of the heat wave) Once this property gets some good grass and maybe a better path way to the water it will really be a gem.

Terrible stay

Third floor AC did not work. Temp reached 87 Service company responded and said compressor was shot. Freezer did not work. Only got down to 40. Again service tech said fan motor needed replaced. Dishwasher did not work. Mold in the bottom and on racks. Service tech said beyond repair. May 2024 review noted this as well as a broken couch. Owner stated repairs had been made. Black and Decker coffee maker, Bunn carafe not compatible….EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS RENTAL. All of these issues were reported to Vacasa management company. When I called and spoke with VRBO they said since we already checked out there was nothing they could do and that we should have called them earlier rather than our rental coordinator with Vacasa….BUYER BEWARE!

Unfortunate Customer Service and Safety Concerns

We had a group of 11 stay here for the weekend. The house was clean and spacious. Unfortunately we ran into some issues and getting them addressed wasn’t easy. The first night there were 2 games being played, lights and the TV on in the lower level and it popped the breaker. We tried reaching out to 2 separate numbers, and finally had to call the 800 number to find out where the box was. It had popped 11 breakers… The next day we realized the dishwasher was broken and again tried reaching out and when we got a reply, they asked us to make do and do dishes by hand, which wasn’t easy considering there was no drying rack and only 2 hand towels to work with. When no one had gotten back to us, I reached out again the following afternoon. They told us no one was available or coming to address the issue due to the holiday weekend. We wanted to do a load of towels ( with limited linens, no beach towels and dishes for 11, we were determined to “make do”. ) upon a quick inspection there was so much lint build up in the vent, I didn’t feel comfortable using the dryer. My son took one of the kayaks out on the lake and found out in the middle of the lake that it was leaking and taking on water. Thank goodness he had his life jacket on. There is also a broken couch in the living room. The sagging middle is held up with a block of wood underneath. The property was pretty and on a high level good, but the safety concerns and the poor response of the property owners overshadowed everything.
