Our "Strandfieber" vacation home became our property in March and is situated in a prime location within a vacation home community on the Priwall, right on the Baltic Sea. This cozy, rustic bungalow has a living area of approximately 50 square meters and a fenced-in yard. The bedrooms are located on the upper floor, and the living area is on the first floor. The outdoor area also offers plenty of space to move around. In addition, there is a patio area, an additional restroom with a shower, a washing machine, and plenty of space for the children to play. From the attic, you have a relaxing view of the Baltic Sea, inviting you to marvel at the exciting daily ship traffic.
Important note: We have extensively renovated the house once again to make it as cozy and practical as possible for our guests’ dream vacation.
As a result, the following bedrooms have been created: 1 bedroom with 2 single beds (140 cm) and another bedroom with two sofa beds (each 150 cm when unfolded). We opted for sofa beds so that you’ll have the opportunity to relax upstairs and watch the ship traffic both during the day and in the evening.
In addition, we’ve also installed a completely new kitchen.
Ground Floor: Living area with a fully equipped open kitchen and adjoining dining area featuring a large dining table that seats 7, including a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, etc.; living area with a cozy, large couch and TV; bathroom with a large shower.
Upper Floor: 1 bedroom with 2 single beds (140 cm each), 1 bedroom with 2 sofa beds (each 150 cm when unfolded), 1 bedroom with a crib, changing table, and a small children’s play area. Outdoor area: approx. 150 m² of private, sheltered garden, fully fenced, large sandbox, patio with patio furniture, grill, etc., small outbuilding with laundry room.

Location and surroundings:
The Priwall is a peninsula approximately three kilometers long at the mouth of the Trave River in eastern Schleswig-Holstein. The peninsula has a circumference of approximately 8 kilometers and is surrounded by water on about 96 percent of its perimeter. To the north of Priwall lies the Baltic Sea; the Trave River flows to the west; and the Pötenitzer Wiek is to the south.
Priwall, with its beautiful sandy beach, the Passathafen harbor featuring the museum ship Passat (a four-masted steel barque from 1911 that is the landmark of Travemünde-Priwall), and the Südlicher Priwall nature reserve, is a must-see. The unobstructed view of Travemünde’s Old Town, with its newly redesigned waterfront and the ferry terminal, invites you to linger. The peninsula, with its unspoiled beach stretching endlessly to the east, is perfect for exploring and beach walks. Since much of Priwall is a nature reserve, the southern shore—with its unique flora and fauna—offers a peaceful contrast to the swimming beach. For delicious food, a chat, and a relaxing break, the Dühnen Pavillon restaurant—located right on the beach and just a few minutes’ walk away—is the perfect spot. And now, brand new! The Waterfront / Beach Bay, at the popular Passathafen. Let yourself be inspired by the culinary offerings or enjoy some shopping in the new market hall.
In the immediate vicinity, in Travemünde, you’ll find: The Old Lighthouse, the Brodtener Ufer, the fishing harbor, the Skandinavienkai, St. Lorenz Church, the casino, and the Seebadmuseum. In Travemünde, you’ll find beautiful old brick houses (Vogtei buildings) with great shopping opportunities. The beach promenade, with its fresh sea air and numerous cafes and restaurants, is perfect for a leisurely stroll. In the wider area, there are numerous other attractions, such as the Hallen Erlebnisbad, the Ostseetherme in Scharbeutz, and the Wonnemar in Wismar. There’s also the Sealife underwater world in Timmendorfer Strand, as well as Germany’s only seaside amusement park, the Hansapark, and the historic Hanseatic city of Lübeck, which is always worth a visit.
