I loved it was second floor. I felt very safe here. Cozy atmosphere with the perfect back yard hideout.

What a wonderful place to stay. The host was excellent! Even provided farm fresh eggs and personal touches to make our stay enjoyable. The unit is nicely decorated and comfortable. Our stay was two weeks and we enjoyed every minute. Near by restaurants, shopping and even a military museum all within walking distance. The beach is only a 5 minute drive. A block party right outside twice to watch the World Cup was fun. We were close to downtown (20 minutes), the airport (10 minutes) and many summer events such as farmers markets and festivals. There is a small private courtyard to enjoy a cup of morning coffee. Stairs lead to a very nice place to stay. Highly recommend staying here.

We enjoyed our stay at this unique property and appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the owner. It was also a pleasure to explore South Milwaukee and discover local favorites such as Bakehouse 23 on Milwaukee Avenue and Azteca, an excellent Mexican restaurant just 500 feet from the property.That said, we would like to offer two observations that may be helpful to future guests and the host:First, the nightly rate for this property was higher than what we have typically paid for accommodations in Milwaukee during August. Given the premium pricing, we arrived with correspondingly high expectations.Second, the listing describes a second bedroom; however, this space appeared to function more as an office furnished with a futon rather than a conventional bedroom. This might be an issue for four guests staying at the property.

Thank you for the feedback as I’m always trying to improve every experience. Good to know about the second room/futon as I tried my best to share pictures of expectations. I’ll look into a more accommodating futon or sleeping area going forward. I’ve now added towel racks after some feedback from a previous guest so I do try my best to enhance for future visits.

I loved this house. The backyard entrance was amazing, private and welcoming. Not a fan of lock boxes, however, this one was simple enough and the gold and silver entry keys was very clever!Welcoming up the stairs, and it's not a massive staircase, 2 easy sets with a landing in between. Loved the outside patio before you get in the door. Open to a really cool splash counter with all the WI garb, made me feel at home (originally from WI). House was very clean and organized and self-explanatory, loved it!The main bed was so dang comfy I swear it cured my back :) Shower was amazing and plenty of towels for my group. Coffee and munchies were provided. Seems to be a thing of the past in most rentals, not here. The decor was very cool and had a very at home feel while still feeling elevated. I am thrilled I found this house, I travel here often and was ready to resort to hotels, now I don't have to. Wait! I probably shouldn't write this or I might have to :)Enjoy it! You're close to so much without the headache of downtown traffic!Thanks for sharing your space!

Awesome space in a perfect location! The apartment was spacious, clean, artfully decorated, and super comfortable. From the host’s communication to his provided amenities, you can tell how much he cares about guests having a good stay. We loved being a walkable distance from the lake, multiple bars and food options right next to the building, and in such a quiet and quaint little downtown. We were in town for a baseball tournament and it was a convenient 18 minute drive to the Rock Sports Complex, and only 20 minutes to downtown Milwaukee. We happened to catch a block party that one of the bars was throwing with live music and food trucks a few doors down, and that was the highlight of our weekend. Friendly people and a great time. So glad we forgot to book a hotel room before they sold out, and we happened upon this listing. If we are back in town- we will definitely be booking this place again! Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay here for two nights! The owners have been very thoughtful in all of the little touches! The decor and artwork throughout is lovely. The cozy throws for chilly nights, water purifying pitcher and snacks and drinks (some provided and some for purchase) are extra little touches to make your stay more like home. We enjoyed walking to a restaurants for dinner and being close to the lake trail and parks. Location was also good for the Brewer’s game. Host was super informative and communicative throughout. I HIGHLY recommend!!
