We chose Mărișel because it is a place blessed by nature, where the authentic charm of the Romanian countryside blends perfectly with modern amenities. Although we are located just 50 km from Cluj-Napoca International Airport (about a one-hour drive), once you arrive here, you feel as though you’ve stepped into an oasis of tranquility and tradition, where time slows down.
The area is incredibly dynamic and offers activities for absolutely every season, all accessible within a maximum 15-minute drive from the cabin:
Winter: You can enjoy the modern ski slope in Mărișel or experience fairytale rides in horse-drawn sleighs.
Summer: You can enjoy water sports on the two nearby lakes (Tarnița and Fântânele-Beliș).
Year-round: The area is ideal for mountain hiking, horseback riding, and exploring the spectacular landscapes of the Apuseni Mountains.
Furthermore, the community proudly preserves unique traditions (including the "Junii Mărișelului" custom, recognized as UNESCO intangible cultural heritage), authentic local gastronomy, and natural treats like fresh wild berries. The area also hosts famous local events, ranging from stages of the Cluj Rally to spectacular horse traction competitions. It is a place where it’s simply impossible to get bored!
