The Space:

Surrounded by some of the Badger State's stunning lakes, booking a stay at the Upper Gresham Lakehouse brings nature at its finest to your backdoor. Sitting on a quiet, tree-lined property, this lovely home is ideal for your family's next summer vacation or a fun-filled friend retreat! Spend your days under the sun, sunbathing on the dock, gliding across Upper Gresham Lake on the provided kayaks, and hosting delicious cookouts with the help of the gas grill. Boat rentals are also available nearby, ensuring your time on the water is maximized. Less than 15 miles from your stay, hike Winman Trails, practice your swing at Trout Lake Golf Club, and spot natural flora and fauna at Van Vliet Hemlocks State Natural Area. Winter recreation opportunities can be indulged in at Big Snow Resort, just 33 miles up the road. Back at your stay, curate memorable moments with your loved ones amidst the open-concept layout. Comfortable furnishings, a gas fireplace, and a large smart TV make up the living room. The full kitchen gleams with its suite of stainless steel appliances, and a sizable breakfast bar. When it's time to eat, gather around the lake-view dining table for a delicious feast. Warm wood finishes, ceiling fans, and high-quality linens adorn each of the four bedrooms. We had our large family plus dogs stay for a long weekend and the weekend could not have been better. The house supplied all the kitchen amenities we could need, grill was great, and plenty of bathrooms and beds for everyone. The kids LOVED fishing from the dock and kayaking and we launched and parked our boat at the nice dock. A, would stay here again. Only downside is that the shore isn’t really meant for swimming but it wasn’t very hot so it wasn’t a big deal.

Property was clean, spacious, and the view to the lake from the living and dining room is excellent. Very private location, nice doc for sitting and fishing. Lots of kitchen pots, pans…The lake was good for swimming, but not from the beach because it was muddy. The water level was low so not sure if that contributed to the mud. We rented a pontoon and took our floaty toys out into the deeper water.

Property was great. Views of the lake from the house were spectacular. There were a few minor issues, I.e TVs not working, some lightbulbs missing, fireplace wouldn’t turn on. Attempted to contact property management about these issues via text and via email, and got no response. Even after I received a text from the management company asking if there was anything they could do to make our stay better, I responded back with those issues and still got no response. But overall, the house was cozy and clean.

Perfect Fishing Home Base

Clean, comfortable, and well appointed property that was perfect for our Northwoods fishing trip. We had everything we could need and really enjoyed the home for a week as we hunted in the various lakes around the property for early spring smallmouth action.

Great home and excellent location

This updated home worked out excellent for our three adult couples. The location was convenient to other small communities and various bars and restaurants. The home was well stocked with the basic kitchen necessities and had very nice linens. The lake was quiet and we had very good luck fishing for largemouth bass and other pan fish. Would highly recommend.

Great getaway retreat!

Upper Gresham Retreat was the perfect place for our fall getaway. This beautiful home is equipped with everything we needed for our 3 day stay. We enjoyed the fire pit, the kayaks and the lovely fireplace. It was also close to several small towns we were interested in visiting. The fall colors were beautiful! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely home.

Fall biking trip with friends

Nice house with beautiful view of the lake. Had everything we needed for an enjoyable get together with friends. Recommend adding a smoke detector in the basement.

Beautiful views

We loved the beautiful views and quiet corner of Upper Gresham Lake. The loons and abundant fish made for family fun in this lovely setting. Kayaking was a peaceful experience. We also rented a pontoon boat for several days which they can drop off at the DNR boat landing on the north side of the lake. Also lots of hiking and biking within 10 miles of the house.

Spacious Lake House Getaway

Thank you for our stay. Our family enjoyed a really relaxing getaway together! The house was extremely clean and spacious. It was equipped with everything we needed. The property itself had a very private feel to it while still being on the lakefront. We all enjoyed using the kayaks provided. Every night we enjoyed fires at the well groomed fire pit. All in all we had a really enjoyable time there! Thanks again!

Quite impressed! The homeowners of Upper Gresham Retreat truly know how to provide for and spoil their guests. The accommodations are well designed, very clean, easy to use, and warmly welcoming. The kayaks are a nice touch as well. We were surprisingly able to spend time paddling around the lake on October 12 and delightedly caught a small mouth bass. Thank you for sharing your lovely retreat with us.
