The Space:

This adorable beach condo is located in a quiet community just two miles from the beach, perfect for your next family vacation. Inside, the condo enjoys a bright and modern interior dressed with beautiful floors and furniture, a mounted flatscreen TV with a DVD player, and access to an enclosed back patio furnished with a table with seating for four, plus an entertainment area for relaxing with guests. The full kitchen has all the major and small appliances the family chef needs to create delicious meals for everyone. The drop-leaf table has two chairs and there are two stools available at the breakfast bar. Afterward, let the dishwasher knock out all those dirty dishes while you take your guests out to the enclosed patio. Have some work to do during your stay? The home's high-speed internet and free WiFi make it quick and easy for remote workers and students to complete their projects on time. The central AC will keep everything nice and cool while you work, and once you submit your task, you can reward yourself with a refreshing swim in the shared pool or a good match at the shared tennis court. The home's private washer/dryer will keep everyone's clothes nice and clean during your time here, so you can afford to pack light for your trip. What's nearby: Bethany Beach is just three miles away, so be sure to pack lots of sunscreen for your beach vacation! Take the kids out for a day trip to Viking Golf & Go-Karts, Thunder Lagoon Waterpark, where they'll have as much adventure as they can stand. Get in some outdoor fun with hikes on trials like Fresh Pond Trail, Assawoman Canal Trail, and Assawoman Wildlife Area. The basic supplies for the house were missing or running low. There was a half roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and no refills. No paper towels in kitchen. One hand towel in each bathroom and no bath mat. No towels or pot holders in the kitchen. We wrote the company numerous times, but supplies didn’t arrive until our last night.

The rental was okay overall, but the condition of the home is fairly worn and could benefit from some basic maintenance and updates. The walls are painted paneling with popcorn ceilings, and in some areas the flooring sinks slightly when walked on and makes a sticky sound.The sunroom was a nice feature and probably the most enjoyable space in the house. However, the furnishings throughout the home are very basic and low quality.The kitchen could also be better equipped. Multiple previous guests have mentioned the lack of pot holders in reviews, but there still were none provided during our stay. The kitchen trash can is also very small, and has no lid, which is inconvenient and makes it easy for pets to get into.One of our bigger concerns was insects. There were multiple insect traps placed throughout the house as well as Raid stored under the kitchen sink, which suggests this may be an ongoing issue. Guests traveling with pets should also be aware of the placement of these products and traps.Overall, the house served its purpose, but expectations should be set low. We chose it largely because of the price, and we felt it during our stay.

Overall this met our need! It was within 10 minutes of Bethany Beach and offered what we needed - a kitchen to cook our food, a washer and dryer, and the right number of bathrooms. Things were in working order and the hosts responded within 1 hour of my texts about one thing or another. There was a guest book and others seemed to have some similar thoughts to my family - the mattresses were acceptable but not very comfortable. Especially the two twin mattresses were very bouncy and even my tween felt they were uncomfortable. The kitchen was bit super well stocked. We needed to go and buy a rag to wipe down the counters, there were no oven mitts or dish towels or extra trash bags. There was also no baking sheet or smaller pot. The appliances in general worked but were older, especially the washer and dryer. We did like sitting in the sunroom, though the seats could use new cushions. We also would have loved to have another stool or two for eating - as it was we ended up needing to eat at the couch for dinner because there was no table and chairs for more than 2 people. We did like the community pool, which was great when there were too many jellyfish at the beach! All in all, it worked and we appreciated having a place to stay but we would have enjoyed it more if we'd been more aware of what to prepare for.
