Cozy & private cottage with gorgeous views

Pigeon Hill Retreat

Wonderful and cozy home, with a beautiful view of the Ocean, so peaceful and quiet we watched seals in tbe water and bald eagles flying. It was so relaxing and easy quick day trips to nearby attractions, highly recommend place to stay !

Wholesale Lobster 1/2 mile down the road. Live lobster 8.00 lb. Excellent trails. Great selection of music!

EXCEPTIONAL COMFORT AND CLEANLINESS

This home is so well maintained, spacious and SPOTLESS CLEAN. The views were spectacular. We loved the short walk to the beach down a cute little path. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked. Vicasa staff was incredibly responsive and friendly. Wonderful location. Would definitely stay again

cottage on the bay

beautiful setting. every morning the bay was fogged over and by noon it was all burned off...a gorgeous view. rental was well equipped and there was a well provisioned grocery store a short distance away.

Narraguagus Bay getaway.

This propeety was everything we expected and more. A large kitchen stocked with everything a cook would want. A farmer's porch to sit on and have your coffee while watching the lobster boats go in and out of the bay. The home is located on a sparsely populated peninsula perfect for de-stressing. Lots of hiking, waterfront exploring, wildlife and of course fresh seafood!

Absolute gem!

My boy moses and I loved staying here! The property is beautiful, the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The views from the porch are incredible! The house was clean and comfortable, and had everything you would need, and then some! Many local trails to walk/hike and everyone waves and is very friendly. We will definitely be back for another visit! Thank you for sharing your home.

Nice home

We enjoyed our home for a few days at Pigeon Hill. The only problem we had was finding the place since our GPS put the property on the other side of the road and the house numbers are wonky. A better placement of this house number would help. We also had trouble using the internet, but the representative helped us out very quickly on that. Overall, I would stay there again. Gorgeous view, lovely home. Very comfortable.

Not bad

It is across the street from the ocean, the so called private beach was small, all rocks! The path from the house to the beach couldn’t be used as there was a porcupine on the path that got our dogs so we had to take them to emergency vets!

Honestly magical

We loved this place !! It was like being transported to a private island. There is a nature preserve within a couple min walk that the hike leads to top of the mountain with stunning views for miles. There is a small private beach area. I’m want to say beware if you have pups the advice book said watch for porcupines and we disregarded the warning and our pup got about 50 quils after going after one luckily we were able to get them all out with not serious damage but she was sore whole week and had quills inches from her eye again this was our fault but keep dogs leashed at night.

Pigeon Hill

The overall house is old but nice and clean. Some of the house amenities were not there. The description mentions two fireplace, a path to the beach, and swimming. There are signs in the home not to use the fireplaces. The path to the water is so overgrown that you can not walk on it. Also, the beach is beautiful but not swimmable.

DownEast Magic

This home is a beautiful quintessential DownEast treasure! The house is truly a beautiful and cozy home - not a cabin or cottage like most of the rentals in the area. It has a nostalgic sophistication that transports you out of time and place which is so incredibly restorative. The views are epic, the meandering property is super private, and bursting with stunning flora and fauna. The short wooded beach path to the private beach access is probably my favorite part ...although it is tough to peel yourself off the sunny front porch overlooking the bay, various islands and Petit Manon lighthouse. We had the best crab rolls I've ever eaten at Chipman's in town and made lobster dinner twice during our stay because the lobsters from this area are undeniably the best in the entire world. What a vibe! Loved every second of our stay and will surely be back!

Steuben Pigeon Hill Stay-

Lovely home with all accoutrements. Great view. Weather was terrific. Deer were plentiful on property and on Pigeon Hill Road-Careful! House was very clean on arrival. Minor issues-could not get combination lock to work; call to managers gave us combo to key box-all good. Was a little disappointed with road between house and beach; little or no traffic-so really no issue. Should have been mentioned in AD. Lite in refrigerator inoperative-Tory fixed it-very personable. Apparently Sept. 23-30 is shoulder season-Many restaurants were closed Sun-Thursday. Still, we very much enjoyed our stay- I lost or misplaced an Apple version 2 Pencil; if found please contact me to arrange return-Thanks!
