In our beautiful vacation home, “Haus Kaptain,” located right behind the dike, this is part of your daily relaxation. The large windows flood the upper floor with light, featuring a living room, dining area, and open kitchen—perfect for social gatherings.

An outdoor staircase leads directly from the upper floor to the peaceful garden. Here, you can relax and put your feet up, or play games on the lawn for a change of pace. The patio is furnished with outdoor furniture, two lounge chairs, a parasol, and a charcoal grill—perfect for enjoying the end of the day.
The bedrooms are located in the basement, ensuring pleasantly cool nights in the summer. Three bedrooms are equipped with a double bed with two mattresses (90 x 200 cm), a single bed (90 x 200 cm), and a queen-size bed measuring 1.40 m wide by 2.0 m long.

The house includes a spacious shed that comfortably accommodates four to five bicycles and a bike trailer, providing a safe and dry place to store them. There are also two parking spaces for cars directly on the property, making it convenient to load and unload your luggage. Please understand that charging electric cars using the house’s electrical supply is not permitted. Please use the numerous charging stations available in the town of Schönberg.

On the spacious property, there is another vacation home, “Haus Stüürmann.” This one also accommodates five people. Depending on availability, you can book both accommodations and enjoy your vacation with up to 10 people. The property offers plenty of space for a cozy get-together, yet also enough open space to be alone and enjoy the peace and quiet

From here, we invite you to find peace and relaxation by the lake or to enjoy the North German city life of our state capital, Kiel. The long shopping street has something for everyone, or you can watch the ships setting sail right from the fjord. The surrounding fields and the wide beach promenade are perfect starting points for extensive bike rides. Along the lake, you’ll find cozy restaurants, authentic seafood spots, and plenty of opportunities to discover your secret love for water sports.
