The "Pfeffersack" Apartment
“Pfeffersack” was a derisive term for a merchant or wholesaler who belonged to the Hanseatic League. It originated because the prosperity of many of them was based on the trade in spices from overseas, which in the Middle Ages were collectively referred to as “pepper.”
The “Pfeffersack” apartment is a three-story maisonette with approximately
50 m² of living space for up to two people. The first floor features a kitchen and a bathroom with a shower; the first floor has the living room; and the second floor has the bedroom.
In addition to a shower, toilet, and sink with a hair dryer, the bathroom also features a washer-dryer.
The kitchen features a built-in kitchen with an oven, a four-burner ceramic cooktop, an exhaust hood, a sink, and a refrigerator with a freezer compartment. It is equipped with dishes, glasses, silverware, pots & pans, a filter coffee maker, a kettle, a toaster, and an egg cooker, as well as the most common kitchen utensils.
In the living room on the first floor, you’ll find a cozy sofa with a coffee table, a reading lamp, and a timeless bookshelf unit with a stereo system and a TV (Magenta TV).
