Trailhead Lodge at Wildhorse Meadows is one of the newest resort communities in Steamboat Springs. Located just steps from the Wildhorse Gondola, this newer, one-bedroom, one-bathroom, luxury condo provides immediate access to Steamboat Ski Resort. You won't have to drive to a crowded parking lot or worry about waiting outside in the cold for the shuttle that never seems to be on time!

As you enter, you'll be greeted by refined mountain architecture and the open feel of a high-end, luxury condominium. Nine-foot ceilings, wide-plank wood floors, and an open floor plan make this a great space for entertaining family and friends. The living area is beautifully appointed with a sectional sofa, a gas fireplace, and a flatscreen TV. There's a full kitchen with a center island, stainless steel appliances, and granite countertops, as well as a dining area with seating for four and great views out the windows.

The bedroom features a king bed, a flatscreen TV, and an attached bathroom with travertine floors and counters, dual sinks, and a shower/tub combination. The sectional couch in the living room is a sleeper sofa as well. If you're coming during the summer months, this condo is equipped with central AC when the cool mountain air isn't quite enough.

Great location and amenitites

We spent a long weekend away and were very pleased with the location of the condo, proximity to the gondola that takes one directly to the base area and cleanliness of the spaces. Pools and hot tubs were great and ease of transportation a PLUS.

Perfect

This one bedroom condo at Trailhead Lodge is clean, comfortable, well decorated and stocked. The location cannot be beat and the amenities are fabulous, from the pools, hot tubs, gym, game room, and barbecue area. Not to mention the on site gondola that takes you to the ski base. We will be staying here again

Soccer weekend

Came for a soccer tournament with my son. Nice condo, clean, nice building, had everything we needed. Short stay so didn’t use any of the amenities.

the condo is very clean. fast elevator to the 4th floor. indoor parking great. sunset view awesome. 30 second walk to the semi private gondola to the base. the ski shop at end of gondola overnight stored skis and warmed boots, only area to improve - the hardwood floor is slippery

Nice and toasty

Very nice property but frustrated I could not, and was instructed not to, alter the preset cooling thermostat. It was very hot weather and the unit is sun facing during the day.

Hey Mary...you should have let me known about the thermostat, you never mentioned anything during your stay. The prior guests had programmed it to some odd temperature s and it had to be reset...o e again if there are ever problems please let me know otherwise we can't solve the issue during your stay.

Unhappy renter

I did not love it. The unit is not convenient to the base. The ski storage on a separate floor from the boot storage is also inconvenient. Between these two, it is too much rig-ma-roll to get from the unit to the base. The kitchen in the unit was very poorly stocked. On base that on over 25 years of renting ski condos at many ski areas including Taos, Big Sky, Deer Valley, Snowbird, Solitude, and elsewhere in Steamboat. There were no herbs or spices, the pots and pans were too few and not in helpful sizes. All of this being said, the employees I encountered were uniformly helpful, polite and welcoming.

Mitchell, thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that the home did not meet your expectations. We have a private gondola to the base area. One doesn't need their skis to take off their boots, in fact, the sooner anyone can put their skis somewhere the easier it is. Guests use the same elevator to the boot room as their rental and the ski rack is on the same path to the elevator. On a different note, pantry items like oils and spices are not usually stored in the home for sanitary purposes. We encourage our guests to bring any food-related items they may need during their visit. Hopefully, we get to host you again!

This was a great condo, except maintenance was non-existing The AC unit was not working and it would turn heat on to 86* every night. No one responded to multiple help requests

Five Star Stay Fasho!

The view alone from this unit was one of the highlights of our vacation! Inside and outside lodge is very clean, nice, and well lit! We felt safe and welcomed. You can tell they take care of this place well! Staff is nice and took about 30 secs to checkin/checkout. The unit is top notch clean and all appliances are luxurious and well kept. Bed is very comfortable and has more then enough pillows and bedding for the master bed and pull out couch. Bathroom is really nice with double vanities and washer/dryer! The tub/shower was perfect including the shower pressure! Parking garage was easy to work and you can make it from car to unit in less then 1 min. We did not use the pool due to time, but it did look nice and was open. After spending week in Steamboat, we believe this is the best area to stay in! Hope this helps!

Easy Steamboat Visit (Winter)

The building is located right next to the small tram that drops you up at the mountain base. Easy to wake up, gear up and be on the mountain within 10-15 minutes. No car required. Parking is covered and secured, ski and boot storage rooms (with dryers for boots) made the visit convenient. With access to the town via the Steamboat shuttle always 10-15 minutes away, getting around at night was also convenient. Unit has a small kitchen and felt safe and secure. Recommended for adult getaway or small family trip.

Mixed review

Location great for us! Check-in process (including friendliness and helpfulness of front desk staff), cleanliness, spaciousness of unit and view were very good. We love to sit outdoors. The deck faces west so it was too hot in Aug to sit on deck for happy hour or dinner; good for lunch though. The fan running constantly on top of the building next door (housing the Brick restaurant) could be heard when trying to sleep even with bedroom windows closed (white noise might be good for some though). The bedroom closet was so jam packed, from top to bottom with throw and bed pillows, that clothing could not hang fully from the rod nor could we store other items, such as shoes. We made maintenance request twice but it was never addressed. Vacasa property mgt was responsible but did not communicate with us to acknowledge or apologize that they couldn’t get to our problem.

Perfect!!

This property was great! Extremely convenient getting back and forth to base using the Trailhead gondola. Stayed for three nights in late February. Dumped 12 inches at summit the first night into the morning, couldn’t have asked for a better situation it was perfect! Parking garage was convenient and easily accessible. Only down side to the trip was not being able to use the pools/hot tubs. That was due to covid so that’s nothing against the property. Took a look though and seemed really nice! Overall great stay, highly recommend!

perfect location

My 2 teenage children and I stayed for 5 nights. It was very cozy and comfortable. We loved the convenience of the gondola right outside the front door that takes you to gondola square. Thankful there was a washer/dryer in the unit. Brad, the property manager was quick with responses and left detailed instructions for everything..We will definitely be back.

Having the winter Wildhorse Gondola to the Steamboat Gondola and restaurants on the mountain was very convenient. Amenities at Trailhead are wonderful and the owner was very easy to work with. There is a no cancelation policy

We were not informed of the no cancellation policy, we left a day earlier and try to communicate that with the owner weeks in advance. There was no response....
