Enjoy a convenient Pagosa Springs location with snow-capped mountain views in the distance from this modern-yet-cozy two-level condo. Located approximately four miles west of downtown and just about a block from Highway 160, the condo puts restaurants, coffee shops, and everyday conveniences within walking distance while providing a comfortable home base for exploring the surrounding mountains.

Inside, the thoughtfully decorated living area combines contemporary style with a warm, inviting atmosphere. Comfortable sofas provide a place to relax with the flatscreen cable TV, while the adjacent dining table seats four for meals, morning coffee, or an evening of conversation. A wood-burning stove adds warmth and cozy mountain character during cooler months.

The full kitchen features black appliances and a convenient pass-through window overlooking the dining area, keeping the cook connected to the rest of the living space. A door leads directly to the back patio, providing an easy way to step outside and enjoy some fresh mountain air.

A half bathroom on the main level adds convenience, while the private laundry room makes it easy to keep up with swimsuits, hiking clothes, or snowy gear throughout your stay.

Looks like they tried to upgrade for cheap. The towels were terrible. No a/c. Would not stay here again.

Great Property

Check-in process was easy. The place looked exactly like photos and was clean and basically had everything that we needed. Except for the firm mattress everything was great. Marked as a favorite stay place!

Mountain Getaway

The property was very nice, clean, and as described. The condo is fully equipped and was very comfortable for our stay. We will definitely stay here again if the host will have us.

Great location, cozy, clean

We enjoyed our stay at Modern Mountain Getaway! It had everything we needed in the kitchen, it is in a great location with lots of walking paths, and is in a quiet neighborhood. Only complaint: it was pretty warm in the loft despite leaving the heat at a low setting.

It smelled really bad when we first got their, the sheets had so much hair in them, most of the dishes were very dirty and had dry food in them, and their was a bug in the couch and the bed

Perfect get away

We celebrated our 54 th wedding anniversary there , conveniently located to grocery stores, Walmart , eating establishments and more . Quiet neighborhood. Clean and you have everything you need .

Very quiet convenient place

Loved the quiet location, saw deer every day. Yet if you are looking for an updated place this is not it. Old kitchen cabinets, old shower bathtub combo. Cleaning not up to par.

We arrived to find out the condo wasn’t clean and ready yet. The gentleman was so kind and the place was spotless when we arrived. You text to let me know that it was ready to go. Totally recommend this condo for its local and its overall appearance. Maybe get a new coffee pot. That coffee pot leaked all over the counter.

Family Ski Trip

This was an affordable property for us to stay at during our spring break ski trip. It was perfect for our family of 4! It was close to Wolf Creek and we were able to go right across the street for groceries! There were several options for dinner in town! They provided fans since there is no ac! The kitchen is well stocked and the condo was clean! My only complaint is there isn’t a bedroom door, but that’s just part of this condo layout! (We could always leave kids at home! lol) We would stay here again!

Not worth the cost.

The cleaners need to do a better job. The floor was filthy when we walked in. The dishes were not clean. The oven has oil that it was burning off during the preheat. The bathroom sinks had some orange stains. The bedroom and bathroom wall lamps were out. The lightbulb for the bed wide lamp was out. There is no ac in the condo just heat. If I knew that I wouldn’t have booked it. The couch has a hole on it. We had to clean the couch pillows as they were dirty and could see the difference after they were washed.

Rental review

This unit does not have air conditioning. I stayed in the third week in August. the daytime temps were in the 80s, but given the upstairs sleeping area, with a window that faces west it was hot. To cool it off each night, I had to open the windows and turn on a floor fan. The listing should’ve been much more explicit. The unit carpet and scatter rugs were very dirty. Scatter rug should be washed every time the unit is rented, or just use bathmats which should get laundered. The unit needs a thorough cleaning, the windows were very dirty. I haven’t checked the original listing, but was surprised when there was no cable. I’ve never rented a VRBO that hasn’t had cable.

My third stay in Pagosa Springs

The local support from Evan was top shelf. He sincerely tried to fix the issues quickly and efficiently. However, there were several concerns. The door was unlocked and unsecure when i arrived. Evan quickly found tools to fix this. There was no liner in the kitchen garbage can. No dishwasher soap. There was was no wash cloth or sponge fo hand wash dishes. The bathroom sink drains slowly and its disgusting under the drain guard. The TV downstais did not work. Evan replaced it as soon as he got permission from the owner. The outlets upstairs will not support more than one device at a time. The pans were difficult to cook with as they did not have teflon. I understand the choice not to use teflon. However, if yhis is what you decide to do, there should be oil or cooking spray provided. The coffee pot was confusing and there were no directions. One of the windiws downstairs does not have a screen. For the duration of my stay, i felt like i was at ther mercy of a slumlord, which does not reflect the vibe i expect when i visit Pagosa Springs. This is my third time to visit. Therefore, these issues were quite unexpected. Future guests would appreciate you attending to these matters.

Great place to get away to!

We love this place, 2nd time staying here! It's very close to some restaurants and a brewery, and they had a Keurig and a coffeemaker, (we used the coffeemaker), and a full kitchen if you want to cook your own. It's close to several trailheads and about 4 miles from downtown Pagosa. The owners are very responsive, and we had no issues with the doors/locks or the wifi. The condo complex is pretty quiet and well maintained. We'll be back, such a cool town with so much to do! I have mentioned this place to several of our friends.
