Settle in and get comfortable in this open condo, practically designed for late-night chats around the gas fireplace. Pull out the sofabed if you want to relax even more! Make up some refreshments and enjoy them on the balcony, where you can enjoy the fresh mountain air and a view of the surrounding village. If any remote work or school needs to be done before hitting the slopes, the command center-style work space in the kitchen will serve perfectly. Guests of this condo can enjoy full access to shared amenities such as the heated outdoor pool and three hot tubs.

Of course, the biggest draw is the slopeside location for prime ski-in/ski-out access. The building features a front desk and concierge in main lobby, with the popular El Sabor restaurant, great for takeout or grab-and-go meals, just off the main lobby as well. On the first floor you'll find the business center, pool and hot tubs! Should you need ski gear, Charter Sports is right on the second floor, catering to skiers of all levels. Also on the second floor are coin operated washers and dryers. Off the property you'll find Vail General store and Lionshead Liquors just around the corner. All nearby Lionshead restaurants and shops are a short distance away for when you're not spending your time on the slopes. Great location!

Location was great and the property has nice amenities. We were able to change in the locker room prior to our room being ready, so hitting the slopes early and the final day was easy.

Lion Square Lodge South 456

The condo was decent and location was perfect. Issues were tiles missing from bathroom wall. The light switch in the bedroom also controlled the tiny tv, so if you turn off the light at night to watch tv it shuts it off. Furniture was a bit dated. Kitchen was great new appliances and kitchenware.

cozy & comfortable

The location of the lodge can't be beat. It's literally a few steps away from Eagle Bahn Gondola. The room faces north (the view is of parking lot and mountains towering above The Arrabelle), but that's not a bad thing especially during summer. The sun shines onto the south side of the building, so the room stays relatively cool. The room is also just above the main entrance to the lodge (the entrance being on the 3rd floor), but we didn't hear any noise even with the windows open. So, it was quiet, clean, and very comfortable. We'd definitely stay in this room again. The only minor complaint is that the ceiling fan control/switch in the bedroom was not installed correctly. So it's either on or off for both light & ceiling fan, which is not so nice when you just want the fan on for the night.

Excellent property and room, some gaps in service

We enjoyed the property a lot. Probably the only one we've ever seen where you are literally rolling from the building directly into the lift line! Ski valet, bell desk, shuttle service and consierge- super helpful! Very well appointed room 456 with all the amenities to accommodate a family of four. The only real deficiency was the quality of house keeping. Short staff or poor training, or both. Left our room partially uncleaned on 2 nights out of 4. It took several hard conversations with the front office to get the situation fixed. Appreciate the responses and actions taken by the on-site management to address our concerns and would expect this won't be an issue when we come back next time. Would advise travellers to highlight specific needs and expectations to the front office at check-in and stay persistent and appropriately proactive to ensure you get what you need to make the stay comfortable.

Great time in Vail

We rented this small one bedroom condo not knowing what to expect as there were no previous reviews. Me, my husband, and 6 year old son and it was perfect for us. The condo was clean and updated inside they have everything you need to cook. The pool was heated with beautiful tree’s all around with 2 hot tubs. There was a small issue with the TV not working but we called the front desk and the very nice, friendly maintenance guy Jeff came up with in minutes to fix it. The building is very well maintained and walking distance from many restaurants and shops. We really enjoyed our stay and would rent this condo again. Thank you!

Steps from the Gondola

What a great find! Stayed 1/11-1/14 for a snowboard trip. The condo is 15 yards from the gondola at Lionshead. Very spacious. It seems perfect for a family of 3-4. Very comfy bed. Full kitchen. Quiet room. The checkin process was a breeze and the staff was very helpful and cordial. Ski and board storage right by the exit that leads to the gondola. Close to the dkating rink. Convenient shuttle to other parts of Vail. It was a great value and I will definitely stay in this property again.

Exactly as advertised!

This unit was nice, updated, clean and great for our family of four. The pictures were accurate and the location was actually better than we thought it would be. Service was very friendly and we had everything we needed. We would stay here again!
