The Space:

Terrace Creek Retreat is a thoughtfully designed studio-style retreat tucked among the trees of Red River Gorge. Inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater, the cabin embraces natural materials, clean architectural lines, and a strong connection to the landscape that surrounds it. The soothing sounds of the creek, abundant natural light, and peaceful woodland setting create an atmosphere designed for relaxation and renewal.



Interior:



The open-concept living space features comfortable seating, a dining area, and large windows that showcase the surrounding forest. The queen bed sits on a raised platform overlooking the living area, creating an immersive nature experience while curtains provide privacy when desired.



The kitchen is designed for preparing simple meals and includes a mini refrigerator, microwave, toaster, drip coffee maker, and two portable induction cooktops stored in the drawer for easy use. Guests will also find pots, pans, plates, bowls, cups, utensils, and other basic cooking essentials. Please note there is no oven, dishwasher, or full-size refrigerator.



The full bathroom includes a tiled walk-in shower and modern finishes designed to complement the cabin’s natural aesthetic. A washer and dryer are also provided for added convenience during longer stays.



Exterior:



Step outside and experience the true highlight of Terrace Creek Retreat. A peaceful creek flows through the property, creating a relaxing soundtrack throughout your stay. Gather around the fire pit beside the water, enjoy your morning coffee from the covered porch, or explore the wooded surroundings.



Cross the private footbridge to reach the elevated hot tub deck tucked beneath a natural cliffside. Surrounded by trees and overlooking the woods below, it’s the perfect place to unwind after a day of hiking, climbing, or exploring everything Red River Gorge has to offer.



Several other cabins are located in the neighborhood, but you’ll still feel tucked into the trees once you’re on the property. You’re close to Miguel’s Pizza, Red River Rockhouse, local shops, and everything that makes the Gorge such a special place to visit.



Guest Access:

Guests will have private access to the entire cabin and surrounding outdoor spaces, including the covered porch, creekside fire pit, private footbridge, hot tub deck, and all amenities located on the property.



The Neighborhood:

Terrace Creek Retreat is located in the Twin Arch neighborhood in Slade, Kentucky, just minutes from the Slade exit off Mountain Parkway. The cabin provides convenient access to some of Red River Gorge’s most popular attractions while still offering a peaceful and secluded atmosphere.



You’ll be only a short drive from Nada Tunnel, world-class hiking trails, natural arches, climbing areas, scenic overlooks, local shops, Miguel’s Pizza, Red River Rockhouse, and many of the destinations that make Red River Gorge one of Kentucky’s most beloved outdoor recreation areas.



While there are neighboring cabins within the community, the property’s wooded setting creates a private and relaxing retreat immersed in nature.



Other Things to Note:

Each cabin is unique to specific items they include, however, RRG Getaways supplies the listed items below at all cabins as a baseline for guests. A starter amount of the following: hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, dish pods, laundry powder, and basic cleaning supplies. Any additional items needed will be the guest's responsibility to supply. We do not supply anything considered perishable or consumable, this includes but is not limited to, coffee, salt, pepper, oil and the like.



•Pets are allowed at this cabin. We charge a flat pet fee of $50 for up to two pets. Please be sure to add any pets to your reservation. If you do not see where to do so, reach out to us so we can apply our pet fee.

•We provide a starter amount of toiletries for guests such as shampoo and body wash.

•Firewood is not provided, but can be bought locally in our area easily.

•There is no wifi at this cabin, although cell service tends to work great at the cabin.

•Please note, some construction noise may be heard during normal working hours. We do not know the construction schedule as it is dependent on weather and the availability of materials.

•The cabin sits halfway up Twin Arch, which requires a steep paved road. 2WD can make it since the steepest sections are paved. Icy conditions will make this road challenging to navigate.
