We lovingly renovated and furnished this 18th-century village house in 2011 and 2012, preserving its original charm.
This charming little cottage, approximately 55 square meters in size, features a stylish and functional country-style kitchen with a dining table that seats up to six people, a cozy country-style living room with a wood-burning stove (and a sleeper sofa for 1 to 2 people), and a romantic bedroom in the attic with a French bed and a pull-out cot (a baby crib is also available upon request). In front of the house is a small terrace surrounded by a small, wild garden featuring an ancient tree. Garden furniture and sunshades are provided.
The charm of this authentic Eifel cottage lies in the successful blend of historic architecture and modern, cozy furnishings. The ancient wooden beams in the attic, living room, and kitchen, as well as the old, steep stairs, lend an air of authenticity. The furnishings are both tasteful and practical—children are welcome here. This cottage, with its mountain lodge charm, is just as suitable for solo travelers or couples as it is for families. Even when fully occupied by 4 adults and 1 or even 2 children, there’s still plenty of space to read, reflect, go for a walk, or simply sleep in. On cool evenings, the wood-burning stove provides cozy warmth. A small vacation library is available. We provide tasteful bed linens and towels.
Visitors should feel welcome, enjoy rural life, and be able to explore the Eifel region—with its numerous sights and activities—from here. Peace and quiet when needed; children should be able to let off steam.
