We had an amazing stay and would absolutely stay here again! The property is a brand new condo, incredibly clean, beautifully decorated, and even better than we expected. You can tell that Kristy put a lot of thought into making her guests feel welcome. She even had a sweet welcome basket and adorable toiletry bags.Communication was excellent from start to finish, which made everything so easy. The location is also fantastic. The condo is in downtown Tuscaloosa and less than a mile from the stadium, so we were able to walk to the game and enjoy everything downtown has to offer.Such a great place to stay for a Bama game weekend. Beautiful, comfortable, and convenient. We would definitely book again!

Hi, I’m Kristy, a Texas mom who has fallen in love with Tuscaloosa.

What started with college visits quickly became a family tradition. Our son is a student at the University of Alabama, and our daughter will soon be joining him, giving us even more reasons to spend time in this special town. As a family from the Dallas area, we’ve experienced Tuscaloosa through the eyes of students, parents, and game day visitors, and we wanted to create a place that feels like home for all of them.

Southern Saturdays was designed with families and fans in mind. We know what it’s like to arrive for move-in weekend, cheer on the Tide at Bryant-Denny, or simply visit your college student for the weekend. Every detail of our home was chosen to provide the comfort, convenience, and hospitality we always hoped to find when visiting Tuscaloosa ourselves.

Our goal is simple: to create a welcoming space where families and friends can gather, make memories, and experience the best of Alabama traditions. Whether you’re here for game day, Parents Weekend, Rush, graduation, or just a visit with your student, we hope Southern Saturdays becomes part of your Alabama story.

We chose this neighborhood because it offers the best of Tuscaloosa. Located within walking distance of Bryant-Denny Stadium, downtown restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, and entertainment, it allows guests to leave their cars behind and enjoy everything the city has to offer.

At the same time, we appreciated that the neighborhood feels more residential and relaxed than areas immediately surrounding campus. It provides a peaceful retreat after a busy game day or a full day of activities, while still being close enough to walk to the stadium, downtown, and many of Tuscaloosa’s most popular destinations.

For our family, it was the perfect balance of convenience, comfort, and Southern charm—qualities we wanted our guests to experience as well.
