The Space:

The Cantril Cottage is a newly built, thoughtfully designed 750-square-foot guest retreat above our detached garage in historic downtown Castle Rock. With a private entrance and one dedicated driveway parking space, it offers privacy and comfort within walking distance of town.

Inside, you’ll find two inviting bedrooms, each with a king-size bed, plus a full bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, cozy living room, and warm, organic finishes designed to make you feel at home.

Start your morning with coffee on the private patio and feel the freshness of the day or take a scenic walk through festival park to get one at Coff33 while your across the railroad tracks, explore downtown boutiques, restaurants, breweries, spas, scenic trails, and year-round community events.

Stay local or make the cottage your basecamp for Colorado adventures—from hiking, biking, and golden-aspen leaf-peeping drives to mountain-town day trips and days on the slopes. However you spend the day, The Cantril Cottage is a welcoming place to relax, recharge, and plan your next adventure.

We live on the property, but the Cottage is completely private. We’re happy to help if you need anything while also respecting your privacy.

Guest Access:

You’ll have exclusive access to the entire Cottage, including the private entrance, dedicated parking space, and private patio. The living space is on the second level and is accessed by one flight of interior stairs.

Parking: One designated space is provided in the driveway. Additional vehicles must be parked on 1st Street or 2nd Street. Park parallel to the garage using the parking stump as your guide. DO NOT BLOCK THE DOUBLE GARAGE DOOR.

Other Things to Note:

Life happens here! You might hear a garage door, kids laughing (or negotiating who gets the last popsicle), some daytime activity from the gym below, or the occasional rumble of our little town’s train. We think it’s part of the rhythm of living in a wonderful small town, but we want you to know what to expect.


One flight of interior stairs is required.
The Cottage is located above our detached garage.
Pack ’n Play, high chair, and stroller are available upon request for an additional fee.
