This trail is mostly flat and allows dogs so you can bring your four-legged friends along! The Harbor Seal Sanctuary viewing area is within Carpinteria Bluffs Nature Preserve where you can observe the harbor seals from a safe distance.

Franklin Trail is one of the best hiking trails in the area set in the foothills just north of Carpinteria. The trail starts at the Franklin Trailhead and climbs up steep switchbacks along a wide road.
