The house is located on the edge of the Palatinate Forest in the so-called Schöntal, nestled within the grounds of a Wilhelminian-style industrialist’s villa. It was important to me to preserve the old charm and style of this historic, protected building. That’s why I lovingly and carefully restored elements such as the doors and staircases. Nevertheless, the bathrooms and kitchens are state-of-the-art.

The materials used include original pine and oak wood, red Palatinate sandstone, and lime plaster—just as they did in the old days. I prefer to use historic building materials to contribute to sustainability.
