The Space:

Set back from the road behind the main house, this 75 m² cottage feels like its own private hideaway, the kind of quiet you don't expect to find in Panama's tropical lowlands, because you're not in them. Volcán sits high in the Chiriquí highlands, where the air stays cool year-round, so pack a light jacket for the evenings.



Inside, three sleeping areas fit the whole group: the first bedroom holds a double bed, the second combines a double with two singles, and the third has two singles, six beds in total across three rooms, sleeping up to 6 guests comfortably. One shared bathroom serves the home, and the kitchen comes with the basics covered for everyday cooking. Out back, kids will find a trampoline waiting for them, one of the small touches that makes this place a favorite with families. One free parking space sits right on the property.



Guest Access:

You'll have full access to the entire house, as well as the property's shared amenities and common areas. Check-in is self-service. One private parking space is available on-site.



The Neighborhood:

Nueva California is a quiet residential pocket of Volcán, a highland town known for its cool climate — a rarity in Panama, and part of what makes this corner of Chiriquí so special. It's an easy walk to local supermarkets, cafés, and family-run restaurants in the town center, so you're never far from a fresh cup of coffee or a home-cooked plato del día. History lovers won't want to miss Sitio Barriles, a pre-Columbian archaeological site just a short drive away, while families can spend an afternoon zip-lining at Volcán Canopy Park nearby. For the more adventurous, this is also a jumping-off point for hikes toward Volcán Barú, Panama's highest peak



Getting Around:

🚗 By Car: A private vehicle or 4x4 rental is recommended for total freedom to explore Tierras Altas, Boquete, and Cerro Punta. Free parking on site!

🚌 Public Transit: Local buses and colectivos run continuously along the main route between Nueva California, Volcán town center, and Concepción/David (~1 hr from David).

✈️ Airport Access: Enrique Malek International Airport (DAV) in David is ~1 hour drive. Taxis and local shuttles are readily available from David Terminal.

Arrival & Departure

- Check-in begins at 3:00 PM local time.

- Checkout is at 12:00 PM local time.

- To ensure a smooth arrival for incoming guests, please honor the checkout time.

- Unauthorized late checkouts will incur an additional fee.

- The reservation must be booked by a legal adult; children are welcome to stay as part of the group.

Good to Know

- Volcán sits in Panama's cool highlands — evenings can be chilly, and the home does not have air conditioning or heating, so pack a light layer for the nights.



Keep in Mind (House Rules)

- Parties, smoking, or loud gatherings aren't permitted.

- Quiet hours: 10 PM–7 AM.



Online Check-In and Verification

- Once you complete your online check-in, you'll receive the instructions to access the property.

- A simple rental agreement ensures clarity and ease; by completing your reservation you agree to our rental terms and conditions.

- To meet legal and building security requirements, you may be asked to provide a government-issued photo ID, confirm your contact info, complete our verification portal and, in some cases, a background check. This information is collected only for screening/verification purposes and is not stored or used otherwise.
