This eco-friendly renovated house is located at the foot of the Herzogstand in a traditional Bavarian village.
It’s a true paradise in every season, offering countless recreational activities:
From skiing and ski touring to via ferrata, mountain biking, gravel biking, surfing, swimming, and stand-up paddleboarding on one of the five nearby stunning lakes—not to mention countless hiking trails for everyone from beginners to experienced mountain enthusiasts. There really is something for everyone!
We especially love Walchensee for wing foiling from spring through late fall! Crystal-blue, clear water, with the mountains—often still snow-capped—behind it, and the finest thermals that make your heart soar.
Thanks to the nearby Zugspitze Glacier, the ski season is long, and you can hit the slopes daily from late November through early May.
There’s also plenty of exciting activities for kids,
such as the summer toboggan run in Oberammergau, a truly impressive hike through the Parnach Gorge, a climbing forest and high ropes course, swimming in the cold-water waterfalls nearby, and a solar-heated outdoor pool right in town.
The charming, culturally rich town of Murnau, just a short distance away, invites you to take a leisurely stroll and linger, with its many cafes and, above all, select exhibitions of the “Blauer Reiter” art movement.
We’ve lovingly furnished the house ourselves using natural materials, clay plaster, and wall-mounted heating, along with personal touches such as children’s books, foosball, games, art, and more. It offers plenty of space for a large group to have a great time together.
