Inspiration Instead of Perfection: Casa d'Arte is a simple yet very stylishly furnished house for large groups (up to 16 people).
Hiking together in the mountains, swimming in the beautiful Lake Orta, visiting the tourist highlights of Orta San Giulia and Madonna del Sasso, cooking and enjoying meals in the spacious kitchen: The house offers everything you need to make your time together a wonderful experience.
Casa d’Arte is an old stone house in the heart of the mountain village of Quarna Sotto. It features a beautiful courtyard with a small garden and a terrace for relaxing.
On the first floor is the large kitchen-dining area, which seats 16 people, and a restroom.
The two upper floors contain five bedrooms and one bathroom. The bedrooms are accessible via the balcony. In total, there are 5 queen-size beds and 6 single beds.
Guests have access to the entire house, the courtyard with garden, and the terrace.
The house can only be rented as a whole.
Quarna Sotto is a small mountain village at an elevation of 809 meters, just 7 km from the beautiful Lake Orta. On walks through the village and the nearby forests, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains and the lake.
There are several restaurants (pizzeria and Circolo). There’s also a small supermarket in the neighboring village of Quarna Sopra, 1 km away.
The bustling town of Omegna is located right on the lake and offers beaches, restaurants, shopping, and an interactive museum.
The beautiful historic old town of Orta San Giulia is just a 30-minute drive or boat ride away. From here, you can take a boat trip to the monastery island.
IMPORTANT: The house is heated solely by two wood-burning stoves, one on the first floor and one on the upper floor. An eco-friendly water heater provides hot water. Additionally, the bedrooms are accessible only via the balcony.
If booking in the spring or fall, please be sure to pack warm clothing and shoes!
The character of the house was altered as little as possible during the renovation. We renovated it ourselves with a lot of love—creaky floors and some uneven walls included. If you’re expecting perfection, please look elsewhere :)
