The vacation rental is located on the 2nd floor on the south side of a vacation apartment building with underground parking and an elevator. The apartment is designed to accommodate 3 people as a family, 3 teenagers, or 2 adults with a small child. The living and sleeping areas are separated by a sliding partition system. Please note that this partition is not soundproof.
The vacation apartment building is located on the edge of the forest on a well-maintained side street. The distance to the beach is 450 m (
). Right on the beach, there are 3 restaurants, a snack bar, a beach chair rental, and restrooms. During the peak season, a mobile food stand (ice cream, drinks, bockwurst) is also available. Even outside the swimming season and when the weather isn’t so nice, Graal-Müritz is ideal for cycling and hiking. The Darß Peninsula, Bodden Bay, and Warnemünde are easily accessible via separate bike paths. A ride through the Rostock Heath is a true experience in every season. As a nature lover, you should definitely take an independent or guided moor hike through the raised bog located east of the town. In town, you’ll find the Kurwald and the Rhododendron Park. Unfortunately, the Aquadrom is currently closed. As alternatives for swimming, you can visit the Boddentherme in Ribnitz-Damgarten (11 km), the indoor pool in Rostock (20 km), or the aja Resort in Warnemünde (20 km). Graal-Müritz offers a diverse range of cultural activities (the Concert Shell on the pier, the concert pavilion in the Rhododendron Park, the Lyrikbuche, a movie theater, theater performances, readings, and cabaret shows at the Haus des Gastes). There’s something for all age groups; even for younger children, the Ostseekaspar visits every week in the summer. Major events—such as the Rhododendron Park Festival, the Pier Festival, the Moor Festival, and the Festival of Lights in the park—round out the offerings. Here are a few examples of excursions in the surrounding area: Marlow Bird Park, Karls Erlebnisdorf, Dierhagen and Wustrow (with boat rentals and Zeesboot sailing), Warnemünde (with regular cruise ship calls), Rostock Zoo, and the Ozeaneum in Stralsund. A day trip to Denmark by ferry from Rostock is also recommended.
