The Leebhütte – A Place of Peace and Relaxation
The Leebhütte is situated in a completely secluded location at the foot of the Kaiserburg, nestled in a beautiful alpine meadow. This charming alpine hut not only offers a unique getaway but also a variety of special amenities that will make your stay unforgettable.
Right next to the cabin, a spring emerges that flows downhill as a small stream, supplying the surrounding area with fresh water.
Amenities:
The cabin has been expanded and renovated with great care and dedication. You’ll find a cozy kitchen-diner with a seating area, furnished with solid wood furniture, a tiled stove, a gas stove, and a wood-burning stove. There is a shower and a toilet, as well as running water and solar-powered lighting. A small cottage garden and a self-service herb bed invite you to harvest fresh ingredients for your meals right outside your door. The outdoor wooden bathtub offers a special wellness experience, perfect for relaxing moments under the open sky.
The log cabin sauna offers you additional relaxation. Right next to the sauna, you can cool off under a waterfall and take a refreshing swim in a natural pond. This oasis of relaxation is the perfect complement to the Leebhütte’s feel-good atmosphere.
What makes it special:
Thanks to its secluded location, you have the opportunity to recharge your batteries in absolute peace and quiet. Let nature inspire you, relax in the sauna, and enjoy the refreshing sensation under the waterfall. Take a big sip from the clear spring or simply enjoy the magnificent view from the sun deck by the small pond.
Access:
The Leebhütte is 10 km from Patergassen. The farm road leads directly to the cabin, and we recommend using a vehicle with higher ground clearance (e.g., an SUV).
Whether at the Leebhof (vacation apartments), the Leeb vacation home, the cozy Leebhütte, or the rustic Badstube alpine hut—those seeking something special will find a warm and welcoming retreat here. Families, couples, and friends can discover the rhythm of nature: feeding animals, gathering herbs, sitting by the campfire, or simply marveling at the surroundings. In winter, tobogganing fun begins right outside the door; in summer, blooming gardens, the Biosphere Park, and over 100 Kärnten Card experiences invite you to explore.

Die Leebhütte – Tradition Meets Modern Relaxation
After the renovation, even our elderly aunt, the dairymaid, said: “It’s beautiful now”—and that speaks for itself! The Leebhütte has been lovingly renovated while preserving the original structure, so you can feel the soul of the cabin. The cozy living room with a large wooden table invites you to linger, and upstairs there are three bedrooms (7 beds), including one with three single beds. On the first floor, you’ll find another bedroom with two beds.
Amenities:
The cabin offers running water, a shower, a separate toilet, and a tiled stove and bath stove for heating. Solar power provides electricity for lighting and a radio. In front of the cabin, you can tend to and harvest the small cottage garden.
Special highlight:
The strong, pure spring next to the cabin provides refreshing water that flows downhill as a small stream and once served as a natural refrigerator. A small sip from the spring revitalizes and invigorates.
The Leebhütte is the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature.
