This over 100-year-old house offers space for up to 6 guests across 110 square meters. It features a bedroom (balcony room) on the first floor, two attic rooms with a double bed and a sleeper sofa, and a bathroom on the first floor. The first floor measures approximately 90 square meters. The attic (ceiling height 1.90 m) has two separate rooms with an entryway. The simple attic rooms are not insulated but have heating, and two fans are available in the summer. The vacation home is not comparable to newly renovated vacation rentals. It has the “quirks” typical of its age and is ideal for those who appreciate unique accommodations. It has a very personal feel.


The house is perfect for a family vacation, but also very cozy for a couple. You’ll enjoy a beautiful view from the balcony into the natural garden, where you’ll find herbs and flowers. The garden, approximately 300 square meters, also features a covered arbor for rainy days and a barbecue area, ideal for cozy evenings. There are both sunny and shaded spots.

The kitchen-dining area, featuring an extendable dining table, is equipped with a kitchenette, dishwasher, refrigerator, gas stove with oven, electric kettle, and toaster. Ample tableware is also provided. For cool evenings, a soapstone stove provides a cozy source of warmth.

The house is non-smoking; smoking is, of course, permitted on the balcony and in the garden. The house has hardwood floors. The furnishings are unique. There are works of art on the walls and bookshelves with multilingual books. The balcony room faces south.

Long-term rentals are possible by arrangement. Wi-Fi is available. Bed linens and towels are provided and included in the price.


The town of Lychen charges a visitor’s tax. During the high season, it is 1.50 euros per person; during the low season, it is 1.00 euro per person over the age of 16. This amount is charged separately. Starting in 2026, the visitor’s tax will increase to 2.00 euros per person during the high season.
