Our house has 3 floors plus a basement. There are 2 lovely seating areas for dining and relaxing, one in front of the house and one in the back. The patio in the back is fenced in—a small, charming courtyard, so to speak. On the first floor, the second living room opens onto a sunny balcony. On the second floor, there’s a play
room with toys for the kids and the whole family.
The basement features a lovely sauna with relaxation loungers.
The tram is a 5-minute walk away, and you can reach downtown Magdeburg in 10 minutes.
We recommend: Getec Arena, Café Seestraße, Cracauer Waterfall, pedal boating on Lake Adolf-Mittag, the large new playground in Stadtpark or at Pechauer Platz, the Hundertwasser House, the cathedral and monastery, and Elbauenpark (formerly the Buga grounds) with its climbing park, slide tower, water playground, and much more.
The Elbe Cycle Path is practically right outside the door, leading along the embankment to the ship lift or toward Kreuzhorst.
From Petriförder, you can take a ride on the Elbe with the “White Fleet,” the “Big Eight,” or head to the ship lift. Or you can rent a “Grilldonut” and let yourself drift along the Elbe.
Starting in November, the “Lichterwelten” light displays, the Christmas market, and the winter markets at the Hundertwasser House are simply wonderful.
There are many diverse ways to discover Magdeburg. I’d be happy to give you tips tailored to your individual wishes and needs.
