A cozy and tastefully furnished two-room vacation apartment designed for comfort, featuring a kitchenette and dining area on the 2nd floor with a large rooftop terrace (private), located in a very quiet area in the Schöntal district, right next to the forest and 150 meters from the Schöntal swimming pond. Schöntal has no through traffic; the speed limit is generally 30 km/h.

An ideal starting point for extended hiking and trekking tours through the unspoiled German-French Pfälzerwald/Northern Vosges Biosphere Reserve, or excursions to the countless castle ruins and bizarre rock formations in the immediate vicinity; relax at one of Ludwigswinkel’s many swimming ponds, great mountain bike tours (direct access to signposted trails right from the house), as well as leisurely touring bike rides without significant inclines through the Sauerbach Valley all the way to Wissembourg – Alsace,

We provide our guests with one women’s and one men’s touring bike free of charge (bike trailers for dogs are also available free of charge), help and advise you in planning your tours, and also offer guided (for a fee) hiking, trekking, cycling, and mountain biking tours tailored specifically to your needs. (24-inch e-mountain bike available; 27.5-inch e-mountain bike available starting at 01.04.2020 —both e-bikes for a fee)

Ludwigswinkel, a climatic health resort, is the perfect vacation destination for guests seeking relaxation, variety, nature, sports, and tranquility. Here, if you wish, you can go without a car for your entire vacation; even in winter, there are great tours to enjoy.

Supermarket, bakery, butcher shop, general practitioner, dentist, and gas station in the neighboring town 3 km away—hair salons and a corner store in Ludwigswinkel. A wide variety of high-quality dining options in Ludwigswinkel and the nearby surrounding communities.
