Property:

Middelhagen is a charming village in the heart of the Mönchgut Peninsula on the island of Rügen, Germany’s largest island. The idyllic village captivates visitors with its thatched-roof houses, historic farms, and the picturesque St. Katharinen Church, which dates back to the 14th century. In Middelhagen, you can still experience the region’s authentic charm, far removed from the hustle and bustle of Rügen’s more well-known towns.

Mönchgut, the peninsula on which Middelhagen is located, is characterized by rolling hills, dense forests, and a rugged coastline jutting out into the Baltic Sea. The region owes its name to the monks who lived here in the Middle Ages and cultivated the land. Today, Mönchgut is a popular destination for nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet, who appreciate the diverse hiking and biking trails along the coast and through the expansive fields.

The landscape of Mönchgut offers breathtaking views of the Baltic Sea and the Bodden waters, and the many small beaches invite visitors to linger. Middelhagen and Mönchgut embody the unspoiled beauty and rural charm of Rügen.
