A very quiet, rooftop-only house on the outskirts of the Eichwald vacation village, in the heart of the Palatinate Forest. If you enjoy the atmosphere of the forest, this is the place for you. On clear nights, you can see the Milky Way, as there are no streetlights to brighten the night. Flashlights are provided.
The first floor features the living and dining area with a wood-burning stove, a small kitchen, and a small bathroom with a toilet and shower. From the living area, you can step out onto the sun terrace and into the garden to a cozy, shaded spot under the hornbeam tree. A portable hammock is provided.
Upstairs, there is a larger room with two single beds and a smaller room with one bed.
The accommodation fee of 70 euros is for 2 people per night; each additional person is 10 euros.
I can provide a set of bed linens plus 2 towels for a fee of 10 euros; please leave them on the table before departure. Or you are welcome to bring your own. Due to rising wood and energy prices, I charge 5 euros per day for heating during the cold season
(September–May). Please leave the payment on the table before departure.
You can set out on hikes directly from the house—on short or longer trails, along rock formations, or through meadows and countryside. Information materials and a hiking map are available, and I’m happy to provide you with any information you need.
Rummicup and backgammon are available in the house.
You can get here by public transportation: take the train to Annweiler, then bus 531 to Stein Birkenhof, followed by a walk of just under one kilometer to the vacation village.
